my swollen cheek/the wall
[you rock me thru
the delirium]
tho i scratch your face
to remind myself
what's real to
endorphin clouded eyes ~
... your skin
dissolves on my tongue,
[coppery & efferevescent]
a prologue to
the apocalypse, brewing
in my spine ...
i swallow
the evidence of you,
knot our eyelashes
[grounding myself]
in the storm
of eyes
& flesh
& your mouth ...

tell me again
how darkness isn't your lover
when you've worn it like beloved chains
of lost finger parades around your nape
as you bend to the will of knotted days
we knew each other too well to
remember what had died
a carpet red and gold leaf
do you weep alone
to suppress what's bleeding
from wounds impossible to forget
to transcend darkness without end
to recall the bitter taste of tears
come to rest on stolen breath
frayed flokati filaments whisper
that god is somewhere within me.

iii.
the sun marched clockwise across the tomorrow-beard
casting its shadow across your jawline.
you were just another waiting façade, half-hidden between the rims of teacup & an ushanka
as lupine grey as your eyes;
just another breath puffed across the moskva,
waiting.
ii.
your tongue was warm and hot chocolate sweet against my own,
there at the corner of pekarska
while the world slept, oblivious to my insides shattering
beneath your questing hands.
i followed you thru the wet streets
as their northern...

iii.
we lay spine to chest
in a bath tub full of bones,
sucking the marrow
from yesterday,
so starved for memories
nestled in gristle
to tide us over
while we fast & repent,
replete for the space
of an exhale
ii.
i hoard the gore
on my sheets,
a fuck stained rorschach
wrung from
the carnal hinges
of our sinew ...
the remnants of
what we've washed
from our pores
is seeped into
slate hued fibres,
into the altar
of our perversions
...

god is in the rain ~
iii}
you goose stepped
across the horizon of
my jewish bones
& i mapped the libration
of your destructive path,
wrapped the ellipses
around my throat
& felt the words self-immolate
on my tongue ~
... the cremains of
my opinions sifted into
the stagnant font
from which i still drink
like dry earth...
{ii}
i raised my cracked lips
towards the thin grey sheet
of god's piss
a scream drowned
in my throat, doused by
the dichotomy...

to the birds in your hair
iii.
i birth another fragmented creation
into the pith of a pomegranate
& seal its stasis with seminal fluid.
sepia seeds & your leavings bloom
from my marrow, sprouting vine & leaf
that never bear fruit
ii.
you filled the eyeless face
with millstones & milliseconds
& flyaway shards of glass
hammered them bone deep, soul shallow
when i spooned the skin you'd shed

i thought we were
forged in fire
but you were all the suns
on all the worlds

i found myself at the epicenter, wholly faulted & chaffed between more
& make it fucking stop because i'm bleeding on the floor again.
there were globules of my psyche in the vermilion trickle & you examined
the harsh colour on my too white skin as tho contemplating its tribology, calculating
the interfacial energy as it cooled.
i wondered if you understood the process of oxidation on my leg,
how i divined time by the transfer of electrons & the gradient of temperature;
i wondered if you understood the...

meat & potatoes
you sat there, poised
knife in hand
so calm,
picking at the scabs
under my skin
as you cut into your steak;
it bled, watery & pink
into whatever frou-frou sauce
smothered its flavor
you didn't blink,
never missed a calculated bite,
a cool punctuation
of cruel words, dribbling
into your dark beard,
matting whatever opinions
i may have formed prematurely:
& i excused myself
because i'm a fucking lady
doesn't mean i didn't think,
didn't entertain the notion ...

like the pale pink pinstripe in the charcoal could make you
a little more human.
i could see myself,
straddling those leather shoes, grinding to
a pitiful completion;
could hear the cold, satisfied laugh
that makes crows feet frame your pale eyes.
