The Shadow Of The Sun
For many days
I stood
In the shadow of the sun
I watched cities built and destroyed before my eyes
Their memories faded into smoke
And covered the skies
Hungry ghosts hunted everywhere
Devouring everything in sight
Searching for
Bits of bones and
Glimmers of gold
As they dripped their insanity
Over the rocks and rubble
I watched them
Frozen in time
The smoke choked me and
I could not breathe and
The sky grew darker with
Each ragged breath
And still I
Could not bring myself ...
I stood
In the shadow of the sun

Water Under the Bridge
Drowned in memories
Breathed in deep
under dark waters
My hands were covered
in the black ink
that burst from your heart
It stained my soul and
I couldn't wash you off my skin
I carried your essence within me
pulling heavy stones from behind
As I waded through muddy waters
Against the currents in my mind
Travelling without moving
Pushing upstream
To put space between you
and my broken dreams
All the things you taught me
And All the things I now know
Led me to believe
You...

Divine Connection
I am Woman.
Maiden, mother and crone
Behold the secrets of nature woven into my cells
And knowledge of your creation
That was born from my blood...
I sow seeds with my words and drop them
In your path, so you may walk upon the petals
Of my sacrifice, my abundance
So you will pick beautiful fruits
And the seeds that you eat will
Grow inside you where they will flourish
And slowly bloom to reveal
The fruits of your awareness...
See the reflection of the skies
As endless, vast clouds roll behind my...

I Saw You
I saw you
6 I the morning
Just rolled out of a club,
a little worse for wear and
ready to face the dawn
I stand at the bus stop,
Not really waiting, you know
Just gazing
at the ground beneath my feet
Lost in thought
Then I hear a hiss
I lookup
The doors open right in front of me
Leading me to a moment
I had played in my mind many times over
until I knew exactly
what I would do and say
And I saw you
Standing there frozen in time
Our eyes lock

Fits of Rage Under Endless Stars
It seems to me that I must to let you live your life
Or I will destroy you and bring you strife
Watching everything we built together
turn to dust,
burn like feathers
The thought of losing you cuts me deep
And the promises crumble on your lips
And burn my eyes when I sleep
I made love to conquer death
Each time I look at you, I catch my breath
I created death to conquer your love
What I feel for you cannot be undone
It is all that is below And all that is above

The Lady Of Stone
One day the water called
Where the wild reeds did grow
and I saw her sitting there
With an arrow and a bow
The water drew me closer
Promised
To shed my pains away
shimmering shards of blue topaz
And in the grass, I lay
Large ringlets of the blackest obsidian
Sparkled in the sunlight
With jewels of the brightest silver
Ran past her swan-like kneck
Forming rivulets down her back
Her eyes danced over my face
Emeralds of the brightest green
And when they met with mine...

Silence
They say that silence is golden
I’m starting to understand its value...
As the suns rays creep past my curtains
Like a nervous lover, sneaking away,
trying to escape
The penalty of their infidelity
And I hear the birds herald the start of a new day
I sit myself down, close my eyes,
shut out the world and bring in the light
Silence used to be an uncomfortable inconvenience to me,
laden with assumptions and
heavy with accusations
Was that in my mind or in theirs?
Today, I’d sit with your silence forever ...
I’m starting to understand its value...
