Today
Today was that day
The one we always deny
Think you are over something
Only to realize that it is a lie
One minute You’re above the clouds
Soaring, gliding, flying high
When it hits you like a brick
And you fall from the sky
The epic high disappears
Turning into an unbearable low
Trying to run, trying to hide
But you can’t, there is no where to go
But tomorrow is a new day
At least that’s what I’ve been told
I want to believe it will bring warmth
But all I seem to feel these...

A Gentle Hand To Hold
Life can be a lonely place
As days turn into night
But still I wake to face these days
When the light is not in sight
Wandering through the crowds
yet I’m never seen
Their light shining all around me
But I am the darkness in between
I will lean into the depths of this darkness
I will fight these demons of old
I will search until a find
A gentle hand to hold

I was left in the darkness
So the darkness I became
Slithering through the shadows
I will never be the same
But this man standing here
Is the man I’m meant to be
Drowning in my demons
The light so hard to see
You don’t have to worry
A warrior I have always been
Fighting is what I do

Misunderstood
Once upon a brisk winter night
He watched from the darkness
As Snow danced with the wind
Underneath the bright street lights
So tired of all this hiding
The things he holds so dear
The one single wooden match
That kept his fire igniting
In his head he started to wonder
If I just step into the light
And start to walk amongst them
They would surely understand ... right?
And in that moment, on that cold brisk night
You could have heard a pin drop
When he mustered up enough courage
And gracefully stepped...

Until Then
Another year down
One not like the rest
Brought out the worst of some
and the rest their best
It is now time for my holiday break
Spend time with family and friends
to decompress from the interweb
Traveling this nation from end to end
For those i keep close
and those spreading Positivity
I wish you a Merry Christmas
And a new year that's happy
One much better
Then this one just past
the year 2020
can kiss my ass
So until then my friends
stay safe be well
enjoy life to the fullest...
