POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
AN OMINOUS AIR FILLS THIS PLACE
A word rests upon a discarded page
Concave, as it bled from a voiceless heart
Reaching for lines that could mask the disdain
Of finding that the end has become the start
'ANIMA'

LADDER OF NIL
Internalized acrimony
Vessel of a conceptualized eternity
Folding into itself
A lesion upon reason
But those pages do not transcend
And those wings shall be defeathered
Transient self, the oblivious
Where thoughts became a ladder
Once arisen, destined to fall
As weight avails those rungs
And gravity remains once all have gone
To lust for the surreptitious
Consume, become
Ignorant of the waste we left behind
As crowns descend upon dusty thrones
Sloped eyes,...

MARIONETTE
Lethargy...
A split in the sides
Acid membranes
Boil my insides
Scalding rain
Waterfall of I
That only I behold
As it drains into nigh
Too tired to feel
Tethered to the day
Dance, marionette
Until your threads fray
Dance...

AT BLACKWOOD'S EDGE
Of teak and torpor, caged
Behind the one-way oculus
Of a dust curtained vantage
Is the self I loathe to trust
And her ghost was his keeper
That fluid hand on his shoulder
Was never truly felt, until dried
And in the light just below the lintel
From this stained glass prison
Colours the rain that never fell
Upon misericord impressions
But what is it you yearn for?
But a window, or an open door?
Upon the rocks, beneath the shade
At Blackwood's Edge, a debt was paid
...

MASOCHIST
In atramentous hours
Lust dances with anxiety
Availing shadow scours
To supplement futility
The poem written upon your sleeve
Tells of pain and of misery
And within the clandestine
Where you sought the nonpareil
Cruelty in guise of the pristine
Is all you wrought from parallels
Spherical mirror, ball and chain
Captured glimpse of true disdain
For truth demands you self-reflect
Or fall from reach of recompense
And yet...
His embellished eyes
Like gold-coated lead ...

...BUT NOT FOR ME
It is all for you
The bore-hole
Dug straight through me
From my tired eyes
To my aching side
A loaned happiness
In time of turmoil
With rust under my fingernails
And blood on the tips
You stole all of my darkness
With those parted lips
So I asked myself 'why?'
'Why does the sea subside?'
A forgotten vow
Pulled into the tides
And for what else does the salt avail
Than my wounded flesh?
For I am nought but skin and bone
And you, the surfaced abalone

PAGES OF NIHIL : ODYSSEY
Barely conscious
But whole
Awake in the future tense
For time to circumvent
I know that it's mine
I unwind
To fade into the sublime
Throbbing silence
Once a swallowing deep
Now indistinguishable from air
Sensory deprivation
Alone with myself
All I hear, my heartbeat
And there is no terror
Proprioception lost
A true spiritual ascent
If I may die, let it be like this
But whole
Awake in the future tense
For time to circumvent
I know that it's mine
I unwind
To fade into the sublime

Once a swallowing deep
Now indistinguishable from air

TO SEE THROUGH SCREENS
She opens her eyes
A sunrise filtered
Weeps through the blinds
Upon her pale forehead
And she recalled her morning plans
That she hadn't the energy to undertake
And she recalled last eve's events
And a tear, earthbound, spent
Pressed the pen, ink to dream
Feather sent, the ocean gleams
Another mark to mend the scene
A beating heart to fill the seam
A scream, call from trichromatic gaze
That tiny hole, her window the cage
That doorway that bays...
It is with...

ETURHIKS TYSSOVDR
Embedded within
The doorway in my chest
I see myself, distorted
By the empty glass
Carbon fiber rain
Upon the hungering sands
Empress sun, endless one
Burns upon my hand
Motionless on the shore
A lament for the ghost inside
I gaze vacantly to the West
A taut cable released
Into the dysphoric dream
Eternity holds the key
Amongst a thousand spares
A lifetime in a passing glance
I cradle every second passed
The doorway in my chest
I see myself, distorted
By the empty glass
Carbon fiber rain
Upon the hungering sands

Burns upon my hand
Motionless on the shore

IN THE MARROW AND MIRE
A struggle to my feet
Worn down to the bone
And soaked in petrichor
I see that I'm alone
Blood upon the rocks
Glistening in the light of dawn
Smeared down to the mire
That besets my path
Begets curiosity
I bid myself to sink
Into Apollyon's arms
This diurnal sleep
Amid cavernous deep
The ichor flows heavier
Than the weight of darkness
Enraptured by its warmth
Tender, loving arms of death
