The Sniper
Twilight,
Faded into night.
Heavy guns roared
Machine-guns,
Rifles,
Slice the silence.
Civil war.
Should he risk a smoke?
He struck a match.
A flash,
Boom.
An armored car,
Enemy car.
Gray monster.
Old woman,
Talks,
Informer.
“I’m hit.”
Pain,
Bullets fly,
Her body,
In the gutter.
A plan.
One bullet.
Enemy,
Hit.
Falling forward,
Body
Meets
Ground.
He shuddered.
Bitten,
By sour remorse.
Curiosity,
Killed...

The Mirror
The mirror is a good place to start
To tell you how I feel in my heart.
I moved here with a new life in mind,
But now, I’m living my life confined.
Things were different when I was a kid
It never really mattered what you did.
I had big teeth, and large glasses,
I always did so well in all my classes.
Where I was born, I was like everyone
But here, it seems I’m always on the run.
I don’t want to accept that I’m not the same
I feel as if, that would put my family to shame.
I have been forced to see a person I don’t know...

This Is Just Me
How were the shrooms? The Beer? The LSD?
I'll show you something more worthwhile than weed.
I can show you how to steal and lie.
Trust me, it's all you need to get by.
Why go to school? Don't turn another page!
I'm so much easier, and I come in a 30 inch gauge.
Heroin's my name, I've been known to destroy lives.
Takings out actors, teenagers, fathers, and wives.
People will leave you, that's just fine.
Follow me, you'll be all mine.
Try to get rid of me? What a joke.
Pretty soon you'll have a needle, looking for a vein to poke.
Need some love?...

Welcome to the doll house,
But be sure to play nice.
No sharp increments,
That would end our lives.
Welcome to the doll house,
It's nice to meet you.
You are a tad bit torn,
But stiches should do.
Welcome to the doll house,
But you will never leave.
One final finish,
Now, your our only Queen.
Welcome to the doll house,
And please enjoy your stay.
Hand over your soul,
Now, let's go play.
But be sure to play nice.

Student Band
Josh plays bass guitar
completely out of tune.
Tasha sings while sucking from
a helium balloon.
Desiree plays piano with her
elbows and her chin.
Jeremiah bangs on buckets
with a plastic bowling pin.
Ben's nose has two kazoos;
one sharp, the other flat.
Lisa sits on bagpipes
sounding like a screaming cat.
We play this way on purpose
with a sound no one can stand.
It's fun to be the country's most
annoying student band.
Okay people . I know this isn't what I usually post. But we all need to...

I Am.
Hello.
You may or may not know me.
I destroy homes.
I tear families apart,
I’ll take your children and that is just the start.
I’m more precious the diamonds, more valued then gold.
The sorrows I bring are a sight to behold.
If you need me I’m easily found
I’m all around you in every city and every town.
I live with the rich I live with the poor.
I live down the street even next door.
I’m made in a lab just not the kind you think,
I can be made under the kitchen sink.
I can be made in the closet or in the woods. ...

I want to leave this place
I have to get out
I am going crazy
Because I can't scream or shout
I can't be me
Because me makes you mad
You're ruining my life,
Making it even worse than bad
I need to escape
To somewhere I can be free
Even if only for a while
I would be able to be me
I have no say in my life
You always tell me what to do
You can't accept I'm a different person;
One who doesn't think like you
I want to learn from MY mistakes
If I get murdered than that's my fate
I'm okay with that because...

The Boy
There's a boy with blue eyes
And a sweet, carefree smile.
I see him around
Every once in awhile.
Now, I'm not one for romance
Or things mushy or sappy,
But there's something about him
That makes me quite happy.
Oh, sure, he's good-looking,
Anyone would say that's true,
But it's more than appearance;
I think it's something else, too.
Like the unexplainable warmth
When he glances at me
That seeps through to my core,
The exciting chemistry...
But I must forget all that,
It's a foolish aspiration.
I could...

Liar
Maybe it was just a trick,
Loving someone makes me sick,
Let me go, and let me free,
Give me something to believe.
I am and was, my life a sin,
Sparkling eyes, evil grin,
We will soon fall apart,
Destroy this fine work of art.
It is gone, lost, forgotten,
Lay me in my wooden coffin,
Laugh and smile, it all is fake,
Bound me down for your own sake.
I'm a fool, lost and confused,
Crying silently like I've been abused,
Cry little child, cry forever,
We don't care, we don't love her.
Let her die, let her burn,...

Marijuna.
Just marijuana;
What’s wrong with that phrase.
Cop’s, lawyers and judges,
Not an eyebrow does raise.
Is that all? Marijuana,
They ask looking around.
It’s only a misdemeanor,
Unless real drugs can be found.
Only Marijuana;
Not much of a charge there.
They’ll give you probation,
And then send you to D. A. R. E.
Still it’s illegal,
And yes it’s a crime.
But you won’t learn a thing,
If it’s your first time.
They’re educated people who,
Believe you’re smart too.
Everyone deserves a second...

Monster's Sweet Kiss
Shoot me,
Inject me.
Miss me once,
How dare you neglect me.
Here I am,
Dancing in your veins.
I can help you,
Numb the pain.
I block out,
Your friends and family.
I block out,
The harshness of reality.
Your so blinded by me,
That you don't see.
You forgot who you are,
All you think about is me.
I am so addictive,
I am hard to forget.
You wish that you never,
Touched me now you regret.
Here I am,

Intoxicating your health,
Eating away your brain....

Brave Girl
I am a brave girl,
But not as brave as you think.
When the darkness surrounds me,
I simply start to shrink.
All of the shadows move around,
When there is silence in the house.
Then the handle starts going up and down,
And that noise is it the door or just a mouse.
Is there a vampire in the corridor?
WHAT is that awful sound?
Is it just my eyes?
Or are there really monsters all around?
When I close my eyes,
All of the stuff still stay.
I think they are hunting me,
Can’t they simply go away?
I tell myself each...
But not as brave as you think.
