A Leaf In Autumn
Fiddling in the past
He poked in the past
Grasping at straws of
memories that
were fading as dust
Once upon a time
Their souls were tethered
But the connection had
withered
I breathed for you
Even in this hazardous air
I cared for your welfare
And still you peeled me
off like a tree's bark
Without a second thought
There I held on
Thinking we were still
a plural
But the feeling was
no longer mutual
With a Click and
a Clank I let go

He poked in the past

Pour Me Your Coffee
Sweeter than toffee
neutralize my sour soul
Pour me your coffee

I need nothing fancy
make it plain black
Strong enough to
Help me stay awake
Brew it till the aroma
dances in the air
Proclaiming its love
to the atmosphere
Sipping it without haste
Longing for the ancient
Taste to last
It hugs my insides
with a warm embrace
taking me back
To the first day
It touched my lips
Filling up the trenches
Dug by my past ...

Love like a moon
Love like a moon
That shines as a polished spoon
It wakes in the dead of night
Resurrecting the streets
back to life
Unafraid of loss
It pours its pure light
till the night thaws
Dispersing wild imaginations
that spill in the dark rooms
of the juveniles
Reassuring the timid souls
That even in the darkest times
They is always a knight
in shining armour
That shines as a polished spoon

But his arrow gutted me deep

Like a sweet melody
You stir my insides
I transform into a juvenile
Every time you smile so effortlessly
Whilst staring so passionately
With a serene face
Your love is like a moon
That shines brightest in
the dark times
Your voice so sweet
It's an infinite poetic rhyme

Appealing as a rose
but am a Trojan horse
Deceptive by nature
Please beware of rapture....
As the sun wakes
it strikes unapologetically on
my glassy face
"Light always wins" it says
And I echo its rays
in every direction....

Afloat
As I locomote in the waters of life
With the mission to stay afloat
Big waves crash down
gorging me into its belly
I submerge into the abyss
Where the attrocities of
this world linger a
The green eyed creatures that
hide in the shadows
Feeding on the fears and unhappiness
If you stay too long you will drown

But as the cork
Pacific in nature
Disencumbered in stature
I ascend back to the surface

into elegance
Beauty resides within
As does outside
They devise a platter
full of repertoirs to
demean her worth
Blinded by power, they
try controlling her
till her last breath

I kept my ideology in line with the religious views that i had accumulated along the years and had grown in me.
God surely hadn't created me for sightseeing
Success is everyone's dream

The Burning Question : Part 1
The Burning question: part 1
The sun was severely bleeding its scorching rays on the face of the earth
After a days work
We sought refuge under a nearby umbrella tree
Under its shadow it felt as though we had telepathed to another realm
we were overwhelmed
The breeze was whispering a sweet sound of the blues
We became "chilled out goons"
The brain seemed to agree to this subliminally
Like a wild horse
Thoughts started galloping freely in our brains without remorse
Stampeding on every thought we had before

Confined by the walls
atoms of my room
They seemed to be closing in on me
As the sharp voice of Anderson Paak
Shoots from my stereo
Ricocheting on my walls like a pinball
Ruthlessly piercing my eardrums
Right through to my insides
