I am not a poet, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn express once

Grace, Unearned
Grace a gift, from Abundant Love
received by one who the gift was given
sustained by us through faith in He
who in Him can be forgiven
With our gift, we make a choice
to stand with Him who paid our debt
we renounce our sin, and hear his word
now death, no longer threat
Once in His hand, my life for Him
Peace, love and hope and Joy
For none of these, do I deserve
when first sin I did employ
received by one who the gift was given
sustained by us through faith in He
who in Him can be forgiven
With our gift, we make a choice

Whats endowed behind our Shroud
Why is it we see "people of color"
instead of humans, and what lies within
Our covers are there to protect us,
not to be characterized by our skin
Yes, it is the first thing we see,
and for that it can be an impression
But it wont tell you what's in my heart,
or my name, or my current profession
Can it tell you my trials, tribulations, and thoughts
my hopes, or my dreams, or my friends that I've lost
Can it tell you about my education or skills
Or give you a hint about my depression or thrills
I have...

Why Am I Crazy (for You)? Collaboration with MadameLavender
Why does my faith appear, to some, so foolish?
You opened my eyes with your grace,yet
I struggle at times to obey,for
worldly wisdom falls short.
Seeking understanding remains
divinely mysterious, for
Isaiah has told me
that our thoughts and ways, are
not of You.
Wisdom calls us to find life
through losing it—
a stripping away of all that is carnal, yet
I still share your Good News.
“Die”, I must, to be born again—
the flesh is from the earth.
We know only of things we see through...

Generations
the splendour of the earth
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD
as the waters cover the sea. Habakkuk 2:14 (NIV)
by the sweat of its brow,
the river bleeds upon the thirsty land
in its sojourn to find the ocean floor.
its perpetual flow
is more than i will ever understand,
just like the love of Him Whom i adore.
life beneath ocean depths
flourishes in the mystery of Your care,
each with its own uniqueness and its worth.
Your children You have kept:
creatures...

You thought of me
Long before I existed
You luved me before
I was given a name
You called me Your child
Before I ever knew of You
Before I knew of sin
I was already a sinner
In my despair
You were there to claim me
Before I knew longing

As I gave my life to You
The Angels above were joyous
Remember that day so well
Feeling Your spirit entering my soul

If we chatter with one another, please do not sell short
when one of us is malicious, about another in report
'we heard it through the grapevine', not sure if it is true
it makes for a great story, as we might misconstrue
our words can do such damage, unbeknownst to us
to stop a person of this sin, might just take some guts
A juicy piece of scuttlebutt, a small bit of fake news
as long as Its not of us they speak, we can be amused?
Do not avail yourself, and continue with such chatter
to some it may be harmful, to their spirit it could...

I am a Child of The Most High
Of all Your gifts that I most treasure
Your unending love, I can not measure
For You chose me, with all my faults
gave me Your armor, to resist assaults
You took away all thoughts of failure
overcome my fear, change my behavior
Jesus crucified and shed his blood
Now Gods goodness spread like a flood
2 thousand years, Your perfect plan
through every child, women and man
Now Im forgiven and in your favor
you sent your son who's now my savior
my struggles they did not go away
Your spirit forever in me, stay

Why Do We Have Questions
How is that her beauty exist, and I so appreciate it
How is that when I remember all of the splendor
I can still feel the elation as if it were the first time
Why is it that I know tomorrow the sun will shine
but yet for many they may take their last breath
What is it inside of me that comforts me in truth
and yet feel repelled by what is construed as evil
How can the chords of beautiful music awaken me
and time and again be captured by a random sunset
Why unexplainable love overwhelms our fragile spirits
Where does the true gift of joy come...
How is that when I remember all of the splendor

Easter bunny
When we think of Easter,
we think about the Bunny
But hares do not lay eggs
That's what makes it so darn funny
They have their broods in litters,
sometimes they have one or two
Sometimes they have a dozen
depending on when they're through
We go back to Festival of Eostre,
the goddess of Fertility
Thought the bunny was most adequate
for applicability.
Not every country celebrates
with 'The Bunny' as we do,
some times they celebrate foxes,
or birds they...
