The Jellyfish
Forever altering acid rain
All the pleasure without the pain
Lysergic acid tattooing the brain
Gods beautiful pulsating gift
Dope Lemon & The Psychic Ills
Pure emotion, neon thrills
Glowing gold like daffodils
I air guitar a Hendrix riff
The Jellyfish is the centre piece
If there was war she would be peace
Out of her book I take a leaf
Jettison paddles and slowly drift
Aching cheeks and racing thoughts
Jason and the fucking Argonauts
Amid the chaos thoughts pause...
Is life genuine...

Liberty Cap
Liberty caps liberate
like ink in water dissipates
psilocybin on my dinner plate
no turning back
A laxative to a blockage
bounty of an autumn woods forage
the oats to the fortified porridge
mushroom tea black
Crisp clean technicolors
the eight of seven wonders
strobe lightening without thunder
an almighty silent clap
Bright illuminessant neon gasses
ergot fungi on Albert Hoffman's grasses
embracing the horror until the doom passes
a sexy sensual sensory attack

LSA lashings
Where to begin?..
The night was a cold sweat
I was seeded..
deep seeded
saturated in sin
Grease on my brow
thick goose fat
akin to the furr
of a rabid sewer rat
Curds of thought
crudely churned
by an ancient oxidizing antique
horse drawn plough
Hawaiian baby woodrose
with the ferocious force of a firemans hose
I felt the stinging thorns of a seductive rose
an iceberg to a ships bow
Never again....
thoughts pummeled
by gunmetal grey
unrelenting steel ball bearing rain ...

Shades
Dank thick perspiration
drapes over our oily nervous skin
like freshly salted slugs...
No breeze
the air is hot and still..
We carve up limes with a kitchen knife
as the other commuters look nervous.
We lick salt and do shots of tequila,
the butterflies in our stomachs do back flips
as we hurtle along in a tin tube
following the ancient British mainline
The English weather has for once done us proud. This bank holiday weekend will be a story to tell our grandchildren.....If we survive.
The festival ground is dry...

In a digital age
Peering out
Through an oxidizing cage
No self recognition
Under the heavy weather
Perspiration rusts the bars more
As I tear out another feather
Through the bars
Posts another pay cheque
Payment for poison
That helps me forget

Forecasts

Dark Blue
At a steep angle
The bottle does glug
The glass fills fast
With awe I gasp
Stops my worries in their tracks
A salt line to a slug...
A taste of freedom
Down my throat
Worries jettisoned
My sacred medicine
Temporary isolation
Just a tidal moat...
Why are we here?
I don't remember
The summer gives way

Languidly Basking
I love this simple tranquil feeling
eyes half closed
head back
studying the contours
of my cobwebbed
artex ceiling
pleasantly plastered
praying to the artex God
soft spirals spinning through my coconut head
I wish this was real
soft touch and feel
bordering the living and the dead
Do not disturb
don't wake me up
summer sun, bumble bees, buttercups
Basking in the smooth
forgetting tomorrows rough
a mirrored pond
peace and still
ingesting medicine but I'm not ill
Do not worry ...

In To The Fumes
Words flow like worms
Swept along in the silt
Of murky river beds
No match for the current
And content
Of a cluttered unfiltered head
Moments perish like daffodils
Fragile to a stiff
Spring breeze
Petals turn dark to auburn
Permiated with jaundice
Depicting decaying disease
Ferrous dust lines lungs
Along with choking
Metallic fumes
Time ticks in slow motion
Steel faced suppressed emotion
As impending doom looms

Aquaplane
Full of momentum
Intoxicated on summer's sunshine
No respect for the rain
I need to stop suddenly
Can't do it gently
Slam on the brakes
And drift eloquently
In slow motion...
I aquaplane
Danger in beauty
Beauty in wisdom
Bones fracture brilliantly
Like light in prisms
No room for logic
Slow motion gliding
Common sense hiding...
Cataclysm
Palace of wisdom?
If I live, leave me bleeding
Sucking moist air
With blood, hair and glass
Wrapped around my face ...
