Slowdance
A bittersweet, yet natural high…
a slow dance with
an intriguing stranger.
eyes never meeting,
bodies never touching, but
the chemistry is in the
togetherness of moving to
the same song…
standing on a musical cliff,
a stray intimate touch,
one lingering glance,
the unspoken message asking: shall we?
drawing closer in mutual,
silent agreement,
feeling the surge of heat,
of not knowing…
but also knowing,
that this could mean
more slow, sultry dances,
more moving...
a slow dance with
an intriguing stranger.

Yearning
He lured me the minute our eyes met.
His soothing voice and beautiful mind
capturing me, as he patiently explained
the meaning of the song playing.
I remember...
He had me conquered as chemistry flowed between us.
He played with my hair; we laughed and flirted,
while our unspoken needs clawed
at our senses, begging for release.
I remember...
Our first was an animalistic rush of lust, and raw emotions.
We tore into each other: no play, no need for affection,
not knowing that the lure would continue...

Pieces
Does anything really matter,
Now all's been spewed... said?
A heart's been ripped apart,
Torn,
Empty, flat-lined.
Dead.
Does it really matter,
That my imperfection's a mess?
When love's been shattered,
by
Hopelessness?
Broken love,
Chaotic and jaded.
Does it really matter?
I try to give love, to show love,
To be love,
flowing from my scars, my flaws,
An ugly, deformed love that never quite fills the void,
In me, or him,
Or us.
Does my broken self ...

The Seasons of Me
I'm like the sun shining on a quiet Spring day,
Covering the world with a comforting glow,
I'm like dark clouds gathering in Winter's way,
Raining down on rooftops, raging winds blow,
I'm like a breaker crashing in Summer's heat,
Spectacular white foam, racing to the shore,
I'm like Autumn briskness, dancing leaves on a street,
Does it really matter, now I'm aware of my core?
All that I am adds to my colours, my power to fully be,
Does it really matter, my imperfection?
When someone's loving me?
When I am...

The Ache Within
She sighs and turns her back away,
in search of inspiration
Her Love has knocked her heart again,
alone in devastation
Her need for intimacy transcends
that which he holds dear,
Her Love won't stop to see her pain,
heartbreak and her fear
She knows her heart is open,
and she shares with zest and zeal
But her Love is blinded by his mission,
not thinking how she feels
She knows what he aches for,
but she's purposeful and sure,
Her Love cannot touch her carnal spot
when she is needing more
...

Whole
when love comes crashing down,
it's descent hastened by selfishness, blame, doubt...
bitter resentfulness,
the shards piercing in places
neglected for so long;
darkness seeps in,
taking captive joy,
snuffing out light,
leaving in it's wake
agonizing pain and crushing memories
broken, wide open,
but closed off to further regret.
when love feels like anguish,
and you wander through the wasteland
of your heart,
seeking answers,
hopelessly blind to the beauty
in each day,
feeling weak, ...
