POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I love quirky imagery painted in sleek words. Subtle, witty, descriptive verses are my favourite. Poetic discipline and control have parts to play; as do regular visits to the gorgeous ink shop .

Biting her lip
She bites her lip and tilts her head to view
Her feet, while he presides and he observes
The errors she's committed and will rue;
But have her mistakes always just occurred
To give him opportunities? They're deep
Enough to warrant punishment at once;
But, since such remedies help her to sleep
With beatific smiles, after the dance,
She dreams she may well have to entertain
The force he'll exercise, which she'd prefer;
So, she presents herself and will remain
Indebted to him as he finds a cure
For all the wicked ways, that...

Nothing
Her face is the place,
a palm print is most suited:
it serves as a reminder;
she is reminded,
by the cold delivery,
how she is nothing to him...

Honeysuckle Haiku
I love the newly
open - leaves me murmuring:
honey suckle, please.
I love the newly
open leaves; me murmuring:
honeysuckle please.

I love the newly
open leaves; me murmuring:
honeysuckle please.

Lost Girl
The cool sand slips between her toes,
As barefoot on the empty beach,
She wanders, in the hope he knows,
That she is there and he can reach
Her, despite quarrels shared of late,
When all was ruined and wrecked; their rich
Seam of delight was lost in hate;
She wondered how to scratch that itch;
To rediscover all she prized,
Whilst walking slowly, watching ships,
On distant trips; but, he's denied
Those once-loved toes, where cool sand slips.
As barefoot on the empty beach,
She wanders, in the hope he knows,
That she is there and he can reach
Her, despite quarrels shared of late,
When all was ruined and wrecked; their rich
Seam of delight was lost in hate;
She wondered how to scratch that itch;
To rediscover all she prized,
Whilst walking slowly, watching ships,
On distant trips; but, he's denied
Those once-loved toes, where cool sand slips.

Winter Afternoon
Time may well fall quite heavily from noon,
When pale sunlight urges the first bud
To form on the grey bark of trees, that soon
Will flourish (come the spring) when the wet mud
May nurture bulbs that will yield fine flowers
That propagate, as the sunshine grows fierce
Enough to warm those petals; each one cowers,
Right now though, for the sun's rays do not pierce
The darkness that enfolds her, let her wait
For a rebuke or usage, that will seed
A hope that there'll be lust, without debate,
To satisfy the dream that she can feed ...
