POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I'd rather make the pen bleed to see the feeling you get when you mix pain and emotions with syllable schemes
Cut You Loose
Beauty 1 and 2 were written straight from the heart
I didn’t even have to put your pretty face in the stars
To come up with the finest words just to say that you are –
I mean, you used to be beautiful; you played with my heart
I’m feeling jaded and lost, inside it’s raining and dark
‘Bout to go on that Twisted tip again, I got hate in my heart
That “was it you or was it me?” tip
My fault for falling in the deep end? Or yours for growing concrete skin
Was it my fault, coz I was over-trying?
Or was it yours, coz you ended up lying?
Was it yours? Coz...

Beauty (Pt. II)
Sophisticated but simple, with an intelligent brain
Her golden thoughts light up an indelible flame
Leaving a fella amazed
Her beauty overflows, it goes beyond her elegant frame
You can even see it when simply spelling her name
The most beautiful name, with a beautiful meaning
“Dear little one” – all the more special the name
That’s beauty, I’m telling you babe
The truest beauty’s always more than surface-deep
Under her honey-brown, there are a thousand pearls to see
Pearls and rubies, like respect and courtesy
Those inner gems make a princess...

I’m not supposed to be this person, I suppose
I’m not supposed to be this know-it-all, whose genius is fool’s gold
I’m not supposed to be The Mask – my personality’s two-fold
The truth told, I’m too old
To be chasing after ladies like I’m crazy, looking for a mate
Like a game of chess, hoping for a break
Before it’s late; but in the rush I make four mistakes
Forty mistakes, same flaws and mistakes
Coming to grips with these stalemates sorta frustrates
What you expect when your Achilles heel meets a floor of blades
Or scorching flames? Can you...

Beauty (Pt. I)
What is beauty?
The dictionary tells us it is the quality of being pleasing, especially to look at.
But...what is real beauty?
Once upon a time in this city of mine
I met one fine lady who had the prettiest eyes
Two small black diamonds were like gems in her eyes
So full of soul, like when they twinkle and shine
In sync with her smile, it’s simply sublime
And it’s picture perfect, a rare limited sight
What is beauty? That subliminal smile
The way it curls up a bit on the side
Just a bit on the side and brings her dimples in sight
To...
