The same room
I never understood,
How someone could miss someone while they're in the same room.
And now,
As I see you across from me.
In a room filled with people,
And I only notice you.
As I hear you laugh and see you smile,
Like you would do with me.
I still don't understand,

the difference between lonely and alone
It’s 3 am,
I’m awake,
Nightmares plaguing my conscious.
Everyone’s asleep,
No one is there.
It's me and myself alone.
I'm shaking,
I'm crying.
They're all asleep,
They're not there.
I'm hurting,
But it's not their fault.
I am alone,
Fending off my subconscious,
Begging,
Pleading,
For a simple text back.
For someone,
Anyone.
Its temporary,
I'm okay.
I am not alone,
I am lonely,
I am needy.
If I was truly alone,
They would never...

the snake entered the garden
I lay calmly in the garden,
Day in,
Day out,
Relaxed and free.
The world is at peace,
Everything in balance.
Until it bit me.
A snake,
New to this garden,
A threat to me,
And this peace.
We were all okay and balanced,

boys like winter
Boys like winter.
Boys like winter are dangerous.
He'll give you warm hugs and frostbite,
He'll go to sleep early and wake up just to leave you cold.
He's standoffish and icy.
But he truly just wants love,
Someone for him to hold tight as the sun rises and the wind blows.
He'll show you how beautiful the world can be,
Even as it's freezing.
He'll tell you to stay safe,
Because he knows the world's even colder than he is.
His love is temporary,
It's short like the days in December.
But just like...

girls like summer
Girls like summer,
She wakes at noon,
Nods off past midnight.
She'll make you feel whole when you're with her,
But empty when you're not.
She will build you up,
And tear you down.
She will push you away,
Just to beg you to come back again.
She is everything and nothing.
She will love you wholeheartedly,
Until autumn comes.
Girls like summer,
Girls like her.
She comes and goes.
And even though,
You know she'll be back,
It doesn't make you miss her any less.

my hands are shaking,
my fingers going a mile a minute.
my body is practically numb,
yet I can feel everything.
my mind's racing,
and my limbs are anticipating,
anticipating what?
anticipating something.

I am still here
Beat me bloody and bruised,
Tear me to shreds,
Gouge my eyes,
Cut my hair.
But no matter what you do,
I am still here.
The vultures!
They swarm me terribly.
Waiting,
Watching.
Those damn vultures want me dead.
You,
You want this day for me as well.
You all watch and wait,
The vultures you are.
You shall wait longer, ravenous birds,
For I, am still here,
I am standing.
Your words may break my mind,
Your blows may break my bones,
And yet,
My heart is beating, ...

why am I not good enough?
what have I done to you?

when I was younger you loved me,

told me you were proud of me,
you treated me kindly.
now that I am older you detest me,
insult me,
belittle me,
treat me as a burden.
shouldn't you love me?
shouldn't you at least try?
