As a lover of life and music I found myself jotting down poems and was asked once what kind of poems I write which was always erotic and non-erotic but upon much thought I now just say romantic poems as romance isn't always about chocolate and flowers.

Carnal Desire
The shutter bangs slow to the coming storm
the wind howls a low whisper
Lightening breaks the folds of night
a thunder moans a thrill of delight
The shutter bangs... quick, the storm is about to come
the wind screams...
A shriek CRIES out in the night
another thrust of lightening hits the ground...
a crescendo, a unison, the thunder lets out a roar
...resting the night comes to a close

Friend, Companion, Lover
Time is near, yet so far
A heavy load weighs you down
Push on, stumble in the dark
Looking for a guiding hand
A journey traveled which fork to take
Weigh the options so we will not regret
But a choice is yours to make
And when you choose there is no mistake
A life to live, for you, is here and now
A challenge met and the end is near
To live today is the best way to go
So take my hand and do not fear
A door is closed another opens
When is does the burdens gone
Regret is Fear and fear slows us down
And...

Autumn
Feeling a cool brisk tinge
My lungs rise to a little higher as I breathe in
The air brings with it a sharp vision as I look around
Colour is vibrant today
The smell of the grass
the trees cast a winking glance
a feeling of something, an old friend has come home
I smile as Autumn enters the room
An extra layer wraps around, the cool against the warmth
I feel quite light, my stride becomes quick
As I take Autumns hand
and embrace her quick wit, her colourful smile
She plays a symphony of colour and sound
