WHEN NIGHT IS AT ITS DARKEST
When the night is at its darkest,
Their hearts are beating the fastest,
Their erections become hardest,
Their nakedness becomes starkest.
To the call of lust they harkest
As in the bedroom they larkest.
Their next baby is their harvest.
Their hearts are beating the fastest,
Their erections become hardest,
Their nakedness becomes starkest.
To the call of lust they harkest
As in the bedroom they larkest.
Their next baby is their harvest.

BOUNCING COUPLE
On each other we, naked, pounce
And on the bed begin to bounce.
The bed becomes our trampoline
In the marital bedroom scene.
We leer at bouncing bobs and bits,
The 'danglies', 'love-handles' and 'tits',
Give each other a crafty feel,
Let out a ticklish laugh or squeal.
On our knees, we go up and down,
Until our faces wear no frown,
Facing each other hand-in-hand,
Then one-on-one our bodies land.
Every ardent downward thrust
Reciprocated in our lust,
Until we orgasmically
Come with our moaned-out ecstasy.

"MY DELIGHT"
I went to see a girl last night,
The One that I call “My Delight”.
Her eyes, her hair and smile shone bright,
We hugged and kissed in the moonlight.
She is so gracious and polite,
She makes me want to treat her right,
So when we dance she’ll hold me tight.
We’ll go steady, our troth we’ll plight.
Physical love she won’t excite,
Stir up, till time’s ready and right.*
She dreams of wearing bridal white;
This dream I’m NOT about to spite.
*Song of Songs, chapter 2 verse 7 is rendered in ‘The Message’ translation of the Bible as:...

SEX AND THE SUMMER - OBSERVATIONAL
(Written from English viewpoint.)
The heatwave weather stirs folk up
To partake more of sex’s cup.
The climate’s less like a cold bath,
Warms them to play, make love and laugh.
When outer clothes are few and thin,
Thoughts get turned toward carnal sin
Or, if it’s one to whom you’re wed,
To make more use of marriage bed,
When the heat-slowered pace of life
Lets husband notice more the wife.
With minds less bossed about by work,
Then, up the ante, love lives perk.
With sex, couples occupied keep

SEX HAS BEEN A REVELATION
(Not autobiographical – title is quote from a comment given by a 60+ year old divorced, woman to a newspaper article on “Silver Splitters” – it spoke to four people who divorced after age 50. I added to this as many rhyming lines as I could think of.)
Sex has been a revelation
After my initiation,
Loosened by inebriation –
Not a soulless copulation,
(“Lie back and think of the nation”)
Done with aim of procreation
In ancestors’ generation,
But a loving consummation,
“With my body” adoration.
After gentle intimation,

SWIMWEAR AD JINGLE
Raise smiles not a stare,
Delight and not scare!
We make the swimwear
To flatter the fair
Shape, hour-glass to pear.
For figure we care,
And amount of bare
You’re happy to dare.
All shapes, sizes there
To buy, we declare.
Delight and not scare!
We make the swimwear
To flatter the fair
Shape, hour-glass to pear.

Why I write poems to women
It is the instinct of this male
To praise a good-looking female
Whose looks and words made impression
To invite warmest expression.
This act of writing, one-for-one,
I perform with some affection.
I think it better for the health
To in this way express myself.
Lines may be short or even long,
But not long as Solomon’s Song!
What my brain, with my heart, does think
I pour out through my pen and ink.
With a Creator-like delight
I paint the “Eve” in black and white,
To leave her smiling, standing tall
Upon the paper...

I WANT TO MAKE IT UP TO YOU
I come to you, don’t misconstrue,
I want to make it up to you
For leaving you feeling so hurt
Over that careless online flirt.
She aroused me very much
Without her giving me a touch.
Her pictured breasts lit up the fire
Of my out-of-order desire.
Yes, it left you feeling upstaged
I’m glad you were not more enraged.
OUR ages are less far apart,
To me you mean more than this ‘tart’.
A woman to me nearer aged
Gets my loving side more engaged.
Someone I can grow older with
Deserves the love I can still give.
I swear by God...
I want to make it up to you

AS YOU LIKE IT? (NOT BY SHAKESPEARE)
Please tell me, for my ears only,
Your ultimate sex fantasy;
Of what would be your favoured room
For me to seed your waiting womb,
Or is there somewhere you would go
If your desire is ‘al fresco’?
Tell me what clothes you’d keenest wear
Before we strip each other bare;
What garments would be first to go,
What would be the last bits you show;
Does it involve, swear I won’t laugh,
Sharing a hot shower or bath?
Shall we chase naked round the bed,
Take turns giving each other head?
Shall we tie up or go blindfold?
Don’t bottle...
