A breeze
A rose petal slips
and falls along your skin
like a hidden kiss
lost to the wind
A promise skips
across the bridge
of time
whispered in moments
of bliss like thunder
ravaging dreams
like the pounding hunger
and savage screams
Words like snow
melt and grow
like crystals
in dark places
of where, I don't know

Crystal Paths the Size of Lashes
Silly giggles and bubbled-up laughs
gleeful eyes and batting lashes.
Wriggling stars so hard,
intersecting voids from afar,
reflecting a river of diamonds
on the infinite path
through her looking glasses,
smattering heart-shaped thoughts
along my battered past
a rain of sparkling kisses
splattering against my mast in masses
like gushing cannons,
ropes and hooks,
she boards me, with knowing looks.
A sick nerd, she's read all my hidden books,
deciphered every wish I've never said aloud,
heard all my...

The moon twists up on high
she looks down and watches
in swatches of blues,
the hues of which I've never seen,
I've never been
without her eyes
in my skies
that slicing glare,
kills me dead
in a puddle of dreams
a shallow ground
she drowns me

Testing the waters
Twisting and turning
wet burns
and sick churnings
about and out: in and in
split along the sides and double
back in
see it from all sides
feel the ride
slide and glide
linked rings
fingers stuck
singing
in lingering flings of words
up floating among chirping birds
open flap of a water skin
quenching over and over
as the heart opens
and sings
the pleasant grooves
of the camel's hooves
feel it again
again and again
till the warm wave
explodes
and folds under
the exposed...

gathering up seeds I threw
into you I see
into me I breathe
happily it's she
laying there under the breeze
pale smile, all the while
just for me, I breathe
in greedily
her dream
a cream of a crop
planted a top
your sopping top
a tight beam
from the moon
she swoons
in my dream

a beautiful boon
well groomed
here in the bed
of my sleeping room
the only bright spot
in my gloom
together us two
tied in a slick knot
butterfly...

super secret deep secret keepers
seething seeping dripping crying seekers
leaking and breathing salty words
that curl up like lashy lips
dribbling down in rippling whirls
mossy green holes sucking in deep
pockets of burning souls
a rushing torrent of hot coals
ruby rimmed pain,
a chest deep
my heart is under the sea
and my head is playing for keeps

Sour Fires
Let's go again, fire up the pen
and ghost my head in goggles full of lead
it's all been said
gladly whispered in pockets full
of wilting roses
posing proses of long gone
jumbled and misspoken
spokes of a wheel long broken
spinning and spitting out
last hopes
ropes a sky-wide, hold
seventh dimensions of a center
folded, molded, cold, still
over told, under sold
If I dropped you a line
something you couldn't define
without a gesture
If I could guess your
most guilty doubt ...

Yellow Jackets
Yellow jackets fasting
on the breath of your everlasting
lashes, flashing, golden shocks
glimmering thoughts
lurching and thundering applause
you're unlatching the tumblers
of my wet locks
dripping in dark curls
as I climb
from this heavy sea
pale, naked, strongly sublime
you're a wistful misses sifting
my silly secrets
through the thin invisible skin
of your venomous eyes
thorny keepsakes that sting
and poison the skies
a tingling thirsty surprise
trifling choking motes ...
on the breath of your everlasting

I don't want to talk about you
startling eyes reading these lies
can you do me a favor?
and reread the first line?
can you taste that forbidden flavor?
that squeezes between the lies

now you feel relaxed enough to savor
these lies on your strawberry breath
reciting them in time
until nothing is left
but to reread the first line
