The hope I once held to
The smile that felt so true
And the dreams that sparked the ember in my heart

Wasted days, wasted years
Nothing but uncertainty remains
With nothing more and nothing less,
here I lay a broken mess

Even though the fears remain
And the tears of pain I cry each day,
From wasted days and wasted years

Silently I mourn the agony of regret,
wishing to extinguish this dreadfulness I've been left with
To no avail and with nothing else left

Dreams I held, felt and cared
Have vanished...

To put an end to this consciousness
To live through the pain of each day?
I question what may be the best choice
When in the end the same fate unites us all

This soulful agony, the ache in my heart
And the grieving nights are the closest emotions to feeling alive
Silence is the joy I desire, when each second is filled of corrupting thoughts
And broken memories that haunt me each night

The strength I once held on to
