UPBEAT INSPIRATIONAL POEM

Hope
Lately I've been so low
Like I've been in an eternal limbo
So morose
Conversing with my own Shadow
But I guess I never had much Hope
About what the future may hold
I thought I lost it all; my humanity,
My soul,
To the devil I thought I sold
But now I know
That there's a God who saw it all, saw me lying on the floor
In an abyss, battered to the core
I thought I was too far gone to be saved anymore
Sucked into a black hole,
thinking if I could just take an extra dose
I'll drift away to a better place and all...

My Deadly Nightshade
You stand on the threshold, gleaming so bright,
that you make me go blind in your glaring light.
You are like a melodic dream, I am mesmerised
Entranced, I reach for you, your face a lullaby.
All woes forgotten, the darkness a faint memory of another world, another time
As you bend and kiss me breathless, my weak arms falling to my sides
Oh, life is beautiful as I float in the sea of your lustful eyes
I let you rip my wings off and I cry
Not in pain, but in pleasure even though I'll never again fly
I will stay here, in your embrace I'll live...
that you make me go blind in your glaring light.

Ruling Your Senses
I lie here naked
I've groaned, I've mated
I've moaned, I'm sated
Love, how could you be so unwise?
Strolling into my den, alone and unaided
I'll be the mist in your eyes
until your sights have faded
until your breaths have become so heavy you can't take it
How does it feel to be subjugated?
To be down on your knees, so degraded
Your soul and your heart I have invaded
Sirens sing their holy songs in their depths of doom
you kneel in prayers, oh how sacred
This act of submission is
And you still crave it

Drowning in Sorrow
My eyes have cried a river
I watch the sunrise, still no answer
Will you let me say hello, will you let go of the anger?
I never imagined it'd be this cold, without you I shiver
Sunrises, sunsets; times but a sliver
It's gotten a little dark outside, inside my hearts dimmer
The fire burned warm once, it's vanished now, gone as my lips quiver
Do you remember when I held you and I kissed you, we've seen days that were better
And I believed in you, when you believed in me and we were wrapped in our desire
Now sitting by the window, I wonder ...

Bittersweet Memory
This world is meant to kill the weak
The cripples die quick and love is defeat
Love is indeed a sin, for I have touched the flames, felt the burn and the heat
Yet, you remain unfazed, you're kind and you talk sweet
What are you? Is it a facade, a mask worn for deceit?
I do not know, and I guess I never will, for kindness is lost to me
Listen closely and you'll hear their cries and their screams
They'll tell you the meaning of malevolence and point a finger at me
Don't you understand? I'm their undoing, their bane and I'm their misery
Don't smile...

Numb Fractures
No one can hurt me
Is it insensitivity?
I've grown to feel nothing
Maybe it's all those years of silent secrecy
I can live like this for an eternity
If only the emptiness didn't tear a hole in me
Or the bright sunlight to throw light on my sins to see
Me for what I've grown to be
A masked facade, a dancing ballerina with broken feet
But wounds can heal, and I can get back on my feet
To dance again and walk through this grey eternity
Till I find the red monster lurking in me
Fighting to get out, demanding to be free
And that's the only...

From Promises to Ashes
Wet lashes raise
to a red sunset
Wilting over ashtrays
and seas of memories dead
Beautiful, twisted and crazed
Impaled with Darkness and Regret
maybe if the smoke gets thick
and her eyes glaze
She'll learn how to forget
the dull throbbing, nagging ache
Of words long ago said
Promises long ago made
Promises that were never kept
to a red sunset

Wakeup to a Nightmare
Written like a blister on your soul
As the words seeped in and swallowed you whole
Paralysed with shock, you made love to a foe
Without a breath of doubt, you let the love grow
but you weren't aware, you didn't know
The impending destruction of your world, the breach of your soul
Am I the Serpent in the dark? Am I the reason for your woe?
Don't dare and don't turn back when I let you go
Maybe not unharmed but the brutal pains of my torturous hands you did not undergo
Don't utter a word for this, my love, is a blessing on you that I have bestowed ...
As the words seeped in and swallowed you whole

Bloody sweat and blame
Bracing against the door frame
Biting my tongue I taste
metallic sweet rush of shame
Yeah, that's my life, bashed and battered in gods name
I'll try to run, try to hide then I'll always be traced and chased till I'm a broken waste
And there's nothing you can do, you can't choke the flame
That's burning deep in me; this can't be erased
It'll only burn hotter with every punch at me you aim
I can't believe how twisted you've made me, how fucking debased
Look at me now, the monster I became
Once my dream was pure, I swear to god my dream was chaste...
