POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Meant to Be
She is my sassafras honey, my spot of English tea!
her eyes holler loudly! at me, screaming, so softly;
“I am the one you walked with along the shore of the new born sea,
I am the great whales, the fowl of the air, the honey from the nectar;
your candy apple, left dangling on the tree”
her eyes holler loudly! at me, screaming, so softly;
“I am the one you walked with along the shore of the new born sea,
I am the great whales, the fowl of the air, the honey from the nectar;
your candy apple, left dangling on the tree”

Noticed
I saw her looking at me;
she didn’t know she was.
she didn’t know she was.

A Quest
I’ve tried and tried, cried, strived to reach her inside, her heart,
where the mysteries hide, reside, incomparable delicacies
for a wandering scribe, her portfolio her dimension is under control but by whom?
is the quandary of the man in utter tune, with her heart and her soul,
he knows how though to mine the gold, that gleams with dreams, and with her bountiful
reservoir of glory and words, words that were spoken, some, the Angels heard,
some, the demons lurched, but could not grasp or take what the conquerer took,
well he did not take,...

It Really Wasn’t Her Per se
A traveler I became, a wanderer,
a drifter through the heart
where emotions reign.
Love was rampant
love was true;
love,
the lover that cut my heart in two.
a drifter through the heart
where emotions reign.
Love was rampant
love was true;
love,
the lover that cut my heart in two.

Just one Look
I yearn so, to see, (said the sea)
‘the sea of tranquility,
when it ripples and smiles;
her hopes and dreams reflecting off me.”

when it ripples and smiles;
her hopes and dreams reflecting off me.”

Finally
A petal upon the breeze,
Purple, fluttering.
A sway in the long summer grass.
A bird, a songbird, dancing on a limb;
and a princess adorned with willing,
and his deepest desire.
Surely, the world now sees all the sparkly fish !
Purple, fluttering.

Missed
He bought a rose, a valentine
for his valentine.
He loves her so, his valentine.
He wrote a poem too, a valentine
for his valentine.
He loved her so, his valentine.
She said, keep your valentine !
I’m not your valentine;
and keep your poem, your valentine,
it’s not my poem I’m not your valentine !
“Hmmm, . . .
“Cupid ! . . . WTF ! . . . excuse my French, but, . . .
who the hell taught you how to shoot !”
for his valentine.

Facade
Alone.
Distant.
The edge,
bleak, where solemn dwells.
The starlit sky,
mirrored, sparkling, where the lonely whales cry.
The hazy moon sits helpless beside herself,
singing softly a song of loneliness.
“Oh come sit with me Pegasus, Orion, can’t you see ?
the rays that beam are not really me,
I’m dark and lonely,
Procyon ! Cappella ! come and penetrate me.”

A Crocus in Their Midst
Ironic.
The farther away we are, the warmer we become.
It’s all in how we bow, to the one we so adore;
as the turquois and such soon, juts up!
through, and within the notes of their timeless, primeval score.

Toxic
It was a garden of romance,
teamwork ? in times of trials.
Now an abyss.
Poison in the vials.
A void , feelings empty,
expulsed vexes ,
now stand like a sentry.
The star burned brightly !
but to depart .
A hole, black now,
where art thou ?
Feet scurry, across the keys.
Out of tune, some depressed,
cobwebs adorn
the once treasured chest.
Pain laden walls,
damp with tear dust.
The heart keeps pulsating.
In whom now will it trust.

Infatuation Sublime
There is a black haired magician,
with eyes of transfiguration.
She’ll make you change position.
Your disposition at the mercy of her soul.
She will rock you.
She will unfold you.
She will make you pay a toll !
Her toll, to ride with her to the end of the nerve.
Where seduction does not swerve.
Upon her ambiguity, that is upon her preciseness,
your chivalry will melt into her likeness.
with eyes of transfiguration.
She’ll make you change position.
Your disposition at the mercy of her soul.
She will rock you.
