A Final Farewell
Funerals are somber affairs,
A time for tears and whispered prayers.
We gather to remember one gone,
To say goodbye and sing their song.
The pews are filled with sorrowed kin,
All dressed in black, a solemn grin.
We listen to the eulogies,
Of a life lived, its joys and leisures.
The hymns they play, they resonate,
With all the love that we create.
For the one we've lost, who'll be missed,
A void in our hearts, we can't resist.
And as we leave, flowers in hand,
We think of them, and understand.

In the dead of night, a haunting cry,
A soul cut short, a mystery sky-high.
Who could have done it, with malice so great,
Leaving a victim, with no reason to relate.
The detective steps in, with a sharpened gaze,

Lost in Thought
A timid soul, with gentle heart,
So kind to all, who took part.
Wishing for love, but unsure of fate,
A chance encounter, sealed their fate.
In crowded halls, and noisy fairs,
Their paths would cross, without a care. With every chance, the feeling grew,
But still, the courage, he never knew.
With memories, and hidden pain,
The thought of her, drove him insane.
With time, he wrote, with pen in hand, Expressing feelings, hard to stand.

With a love that I couldn't hide,
I shared my feelings, I couldn't lie,
But all you said was "just a friend,"
And my heart began to bend.
On a journey to a distant place,
My thoughts of you, I couldn't replace,
I saw you with someone new,
