But this isnt love
I've kept a secret of love hidden within long and deep
It's no enticing tale of scandalous affair
Just one I don't know how to convey verbally
Everyday with you was pulsating and lively
Deep conversations awoken me from an apathetic coma
Life had become almost bliss
But this isn't a love poem...
Often I've dreaded this anxiety
The possibilities it might mean
Soon fearing when we meet and the secret I keep
Daydreams of your dorky smile faded
Replaced with wonders of a single life
Pondering what I could...

Where does the impostor end?
Will I ever know what I'm feeling inside?
Thought the journey through the cave was over
Time for the sunshine.
Guess I was wrong
Just playing make believe with false rainbows and pots of gold.
Sober It was supposed to be ok

Met with heavenly scent, my eyes set full of hunger
Watching this beauty unravel before me
My mouth salivating, barbaric instinct taking over
I dive head first, lips wrapping around delights
Tastes sweeter than fruit linger on the tongue

Its time to say goodbye my friend, for its time I must go
We dreaded this for what felt like centuries, hoping we could drag these last months to eternity
While we may never see each other again, it was nice to have a companion like you
However I have to go, for the journey of life awaits
