Motherhood
Selfless, unconditional love.
Feeding someone else before yourself.
Feeling inadequate, and yet for them omniscient.
Being detached but always trying to be present.
Recognising your fear, channeling to protection.
Seeing mistakes you have made and then making them lessons.
Knowing that you'd give your life in an instant.
Understanding your own mother, and her words of wisdom.
Making decisions you never want to.
Overwhelmed by the weight that now sits on your shoulders.
Hearing her cry in the dead of the night, and then sitting for hours as...

Corona
The selfishness and self entitlement of some,
Doesn't surprise me in the slightest but still it's left me numb.
Mass consumption of all that they don't need because a virus hit
are the same ones that a month ago said climate change doesn't exist.
Hypocrisy of it, heaven forbid when our world does go to hell,
stockpiling lentils, but mocking vegans when life is normal and up for sale.
And yet amongst it all i can see the sanctity of life.
Others desire to fight and stay alive when in the past i debated dying.
I'm not saying that I do have the right...
