Poet Introduction
My poetry and prose Thought not as pristine as a rose Nor as elegant as a coiled cobra Invites you into my own "nova" Where words reign And you sip poetry like champagne.
Pills
Pitter patter goes my heart, lodged betwixt my ribcage,
Entrapped like a feral beast, one that’s deaf and matted with glistening ruby blood, infested with mange
And with an overdose of lethal tarts, laced with lovely poison as sweet and fluffy as cake
It can be put down like the blind heartache it is, swelling within this chest of mine.
In the quivering palm of my quivering hand, are two unsweetened sugar cubes. They’re not fake.
However I’m greedy, and crave more with my relentless, rotted sweet tooth that’s not fine.
Down the hatch they suddenly go, one after...

Skyscraper
A mocha swirl prancing on my tongue
Lips chapped and cracked like novelty wineskins, smooth as porcelain
My glazed orbs surveying the hypnotic view from atop this alluring tower
Carelessly swinging my legs- without the least of concerns-above dastardly devoid space.
Here I am seated, perched in fact, on this building, this not-exactly-hollow structure
Palms scalded against the scorching asphalt
The overbearing kaledioscope of sunbeams traversing across my sun-kissed flesh
Cheeks flushed a delightful rosy hue; and soon, that mocha aftertaste
Is extinguished in...
