the rock you crash against.
I'll stand strong;
strong enough to bear the raging of your storm.
And I'll be constant;
constant through all your crests and vales.
I'll let you flow around me,
just remember you can drown me.

for what's a rock compared to the beauty of the sea.

strong while I erode into your majesty.

steadfast and resolute.
And if you flow right past me

caring;
destructive predilections
stunned
into hushed reverence.
Defacement seeming
criminal

a whimper
parts
painted lips
blinded eyes not beholding
their beauty
– needed.

exaltation in debasement

under
an onslaught of nylon.
Whimpers
turning to cries.

from hesitation

have weight.
Yes,
if the time I've spent
in Narnia

and Hogwarts

spent in a gym,
I would be light enough

I stare
at retreating backs,
breath hot,
rapid,
rabid,
vision tunneling
on thin throats,
on breakable skulls.
Their self-aggrandizing
by-way-of-breaking-others
laughter
the only sound matching
my pounding
pulse.
They have heady
steady rhythms
calmly beating away
their egocentric existences.
I stare,
breath hot,
rapid,
rabid,
the absolute,
incontrovertible,
Truth
that their existence
is a blight
emblazoned
in my mind.
I would rid myself
and...
