Day Dreams
Day dreams turn into memories that I long to create with you.
Eyes closing and a heavy heart breaking.
Your face beckons and voice fills my mind.
Your eyes sparkle in the light and tongue danced behind your lips as if speaking forbidden words.
Words that are impossible to hear.
A kiss so soft and passionate that even lust would be envious of its power.
Who's to say that this second,
This instant hasn't occupied the space that an hour or day would normally hold?
Normality.
A word with a lack of meaning.
Who is to say what is normal?
Why...

Beautiful Mess
What is this road we've been traveling on?
Is there deeper meaning?
Just friends or beyond?
Desire transpires.
Romance, Passion, and Heat.
Longing for the day our lips again meet.
There may be something more to this.
Maybe I will never know.
There may be just this moment, show me where to go.
Take me to a different place.
Maybe its time for a different face?
Take me down deeper than no one has ever known.
Bring me to the fire.
Feed this desire.
Bring me to a place that is seldom shown.
What are we?

Buried in Stone
Once upon a time in a land far away,
There was a young boy who never got his way.
The girl that he loved was in love with another,
His mother the witch was an outcast, an "other".
But then the boy ran far away from his place.
The girl missed that boy and cried for many days.
The boy returned home to find that the girl had passed,
The cause was heart break, it shattered like glass.
The boy slowly crumbled inside, it tore him apart,
For once this girl had his heart.
Years flew by, the man died alone,
Because his heart was buried in stone.

Taken
Stolen from the one world she ever knew.
Sold by a member of her family
Or taken away by someone she's never met.
Broken, sold, and unsafe.
Unwilling sex up to one hundred times a day.
At the end of the night meth and heroine are her pay
Never knows what she is worth
And forever is treated like dirt.
Little food to eat
She is nearly dead.
Finally she gets rescued
Her and a few of her 'roommates'
But they can never go back home.
They are 'used' and old
Therefore unwanted by so say loved ones.
Their saviors take them to...
Sold by a member of her family
Or taken away by someone she's never met.

Intoxicated
Looking at his face
Longing for his warm embrace.
Wanting to feel intoxicated beyond all reality.
Waiting for the day he wants me.
Am I not good enough for his love?
Am I not the one he wanted for so long?
Now we don't even speak
Its like he does not care about me.
Can't he see I love him?
Love or loved? The question.
Once he was my poison
Always bringing me down.
Once he was my drug.
Always a high then a strong painful crash.
No matter where love took us
He always left me,
Completely and totally intoxicated.

Through the mirror you see yourself
But is it possible to be someone else?
The clock with a mask.
The man on the horse.
A spaceship in waiting.
A human beating heart.
Can you see clearly behind the glass?
Can you see the stars?
See the past?
Step through the mirror.
See what's beyond.
Find your protector
Your lonely angel.
Enjoy the 'slow path'
Speed through the fast.
Rekindle the fire
Rebuild its place
Look through the fire,
See his face.
He brings you the stars and all that's...

The Raven's Cry For Annabel Lee
What would one do for a love like no other?
Would you drink poison or dare to smother?
He cut through the stomach with the quickness of a blade.
Stuffed a women up the chimney and left in a hurried rage.
The red death showed his face at the masquerade ball
Took the man's love with hopes he would fall.
"Annabel Lee" he cried out, but he couldn't save me.
Washed away by the sea
Trapped in a coffin,
I couldn't break free.
Walls closing in
Smothered under the floor boards
Heart starts to beat faster
Giving up hope

The Snake in the Fire
Leaning against the door frame
I feel something on my neck
Slithering as I'm withering
Like a crew mate on a dark deck.
The heat is smoldering
Its snickering at me
The wind is just as horrid as the heat is takes with it
They taunt me.
They watch as I slowly die.
The beast has me by the throat at this point.
Still its slithering.
I try to keep still for fear it may attack.
But I suppose it already has.
Elated by the fact that it all may end tonight.
This place feels like hell.
The heat.
The wind.
The snake....

You smiled at me on that big smelly bus.
Who knew that day would create such a fuss.
You got so excited when I replied "hi"
I got so sad when you said goodbye.
Soon you are leaving me,
Forever it seems.
But you will always be in my dreams.

As I wrote this poem I realize that we may never see each other or talk to each other again, unless by accident. If you knew how much you meant to me, I feel as though you won't want to go. Alas, this is your new chapter. The newest page in your story book. I just hope to be on one of those pages when...

Who are you .... Really?
I love it when you're with me
But when you're around your friends,
You're the man they want you to be.
You seem so two-faced.
Is this who you are?
Or are you the kid who was covered in scars?
The timid young boy who grew up too fast.
The poor little thing with a cold, impossible dad.
Or even the kid that the broken mirror is afraid to see.
The shattered pieces of the mirror that he hit with his fists.
It was clear to you and your mom that he was pissed.
Drunk from the long nights at the bar,
Sometimes...
But when you're around your friends,
You're the man they want you to be.
