Invisible Plague
You're avoiding
truth distorting
complacent and boring
must be all those white lines you're snorting
this reality to which you've
succumb
can be felt by everyone
especially you
obviously mum
Looking around
I try to describe what I see
lurking in the eyes
of the addicts around me
only to find tepid awareness
returned back for free
I think they feel the stirring
can hear the incessant whirring
this mutual restlessness we keep
preventing sleep

A Revelation of Gratitude
On the precipice,
of many a road,
down in the deep,
living with toads.
Future so close,
a flower to hold,
how many petals within to mould?
Only God knows, only the future will tell,
on this journey out of the well.
I know it is bright,
for the light shines just right,
and it makes for such a wonderful sight.
Thank you for this gift,
for past hurts and trials,
thou dost benefit from the churning River Nile.
The torrent of emotions,
the darkness of sea,
all gave birth to the present me.
