f**ked Up
Ungrateful for the little things
Ungrateful for the big
Ungrateful for who i have and all the Lord chose to give
Ungrateful for not starving and happening to be alive
Ungrateful little bitch
I've placed myself center stage up high
Forgive me if you can for bitching and whining
But he called me his biggest failure n biggest fuck up today as the sun was rising
I am undoubtedly grateful for him and all he helped me do
I'm grateful for his wisdom and the shit he put me through
I'm grateful for all i have and all i ever got
But i dwelt in that darkest...

Me
Early morning
I watched the sun ascend a clear sky
While my body stood shrouded by the frosty breeze
I witnessed a blood red orb turn the sky to fire
And beheld my namesake
Kaulakua
The Red Dawn
Suffering that little death once again
Of beauty, luscious and sweet
All consuming in its wonder
Awe inspiring in its glory
Losing myself in those minutes when the moon cedes way to the sun's rebirth
Shrouded in the frosty breeze

And witnessed The Red Dawn

I have fallen for you
With all your light and laughter and love...
With all your darkness
I have fallen for your soul that whispers to me
Of promises for tomorrow
And a journey that will never end
But i know that we can never be
For we are other
Of different ways and different worlds
Of different pathes that intertwine yet never quite meet
And we may share a stolen moment
Or live on borrowed time
but
No matter how much i wish it
.....i hold no illusions that you are mine.....

I miss your voice.....
The simpleness of unexpectant love
I lament the loss of such comfort as lazing the day away talking
Or
Being draped in companionable silence...
I miss those gaming nights
And waking the next morning to sun warming sleepy skin
Surprize wake up calls
I miss your voice
Its' lilt and cadence
Its' ebb and flow
...I miss you my brother...My friend...My Tys...
And I will meet you at heavens' gates where I know you'll be waiting

Eternally One
In my minds' eye I visualize you
Images so vivid mind and reality seem to blur and meld
Like the hint of a forgotten dream...
Or a memory of a us from another life
And in my rememberings
I see and feel and taste you
Every breath Every sound Every agonizing inch of contact to be had
And I crave more
More than sex I crave More than intimacy
And I relive it as if it has happened before
As participant and onlooker
I bear witness to forever
A melding of body and mind and soul
Of one pulse of life in two forms

The Connection Between Us

What If
Days spent dreaming
Nights Wide awake
The question "What If" flies through my brain
Life and Passion and Love take hold
Time ticks on and nights grow ever more cold
Young on the outside and old within
Feel as if I've committed some sin
Always I crash land in contentment's grasp
Only to find that contentment don't last
Someday perhaps I may find myself blessed...
Someday perhaps fate will grant me a gift...

What Looks Out
Look! There she is again
Always staring through the windows of that broken house
Why does she stare? How come she never comes out?
She is Other
The same as any other person
But
Different
The events of her life have deprived her of the knowledge to live
She remembers not the freedom of Unburdened Innocence
Yet the clock continues to run
She exists Trapped
Unable
To
Break Free
Pleading for anyone to come and release her
She cries tears that could fill caverns
Carries secrets that could destroy
...
