You come home upset and not wanting to be bothered
I ask whats the matter but you just walk right pass me
You nonchalantly start a shower to relax
I walk into the bathroom and see your gorgeous naked body behind the glass
Your eyes are closed and your skin is glistening

I dont want you to feel like I'm overwhelming you
Or that I'm coming off too strong
It's just with everything I've been through
I don't wanna be treated wrong
And I dont wanna run you out of my life
I just need to be for sure
I just need you to stand by my side
I dont wanna get hurt anymore
I'm not angry I'm just tired
Tired of being taken advantage of
I want to be happy before it expires
I need someone man enough to show emotion and share his love
Maybe I have too much protection

When I first met you, you warned me about yourself
You said you werent the type I would want a relationship with
But I had a weak spot in my heart for you
I ignored all the stop signs and crashed head on
Now I'm hurt, and the scars and bruises are reminders
