Behind closed doors
Winter stands on the horizon
Revelling in heavy winds
Haunting me with ghosts I left behind
Extinguishing the flame
That once warmed my heart
It brings you back
Into my arms
It casts your shadow
In rooms that kept me safe
Your presence is unwelcome
Yet the cold is determined
And as the days move on
With winds that turn my lips blue
Im pulled back to you
In an undertow of lost memories
You have no idea the emotions that overcome me,
As I am pulled unwillingly
Through a door that I left open
And the child...

DRUGS POEM

Rattle the Chains
I am breaking away from this
I will purge the sickness
the sick addiction inside of me
turning my heart black
Oh, but how I miss the taste and the burn
I miss your presence inside of me
you lovely disease
why dont you run through my veins,
One last time?
My sweet gravity
keep me flat on the ground
return to me
or I will slip through this world
I feel the earth
calling me back to bed
This lifeless force
pulling me into a grave
And it is my own
and I think I love it
and I think I need it
I cant...

Ancient War
There once was a sky
so beautiful and blue
shed skin to the moon
to see the galaxy
at our doorstep
Under the sky
lies forgotten beings
Stand tall like buildings
monuments of leaves
immortal blood
soon to be poisoned by man
the cancer
taking life that is sacred
I feel mother reaching
out of the ground
and wrath like bullets
Fall from the clouds
The parasite will win
but the vessel will be lost in time
so beautiful and blue

after a storm
a monument of beauty
in the fog
I want to show you
what my heart can do for you
but its been closed so long

feeling
I can feel the tide
pull me in, push me out
over and over
I can feel the rhythm
in the balance between
life and death
The pendulum swings forever
I can feel the weather change
watch mother change her face
for one more day
The night rises
illuminate the ground
watch over your children
and watch them flow
I need to see
all these mortal beings
ancient monuments rise
Above the ground
the law exists
right under your wings
Feel the change
let it stimulate you

Home Sick
Somewhere near a valley
sits a place I'd like to be
calling to me with a familiar melody
singing amongst the trees
The smell of pine floods my lungs
And lifts me towards the sky
admiring the old gods
this is a place I would love to die
So I lay upon the grass
dancing softly in the wind
I open my ears for the sacred song
the one the citys hide from slaves

These walls
my dear friends
holding me tight
as I cave in
Pacing back and forth
following trains of thought

what side are you on?

I wander the path
no one in sight
I found prints in the black sand
emerging hope in my heart
I seek the dark waters
serpent lurking below
have no fear
we bear a similar nature
Ive met many people
seen many faces
few worthy
for the journey I face

warm and full of light
