Shady Thoughts
Lucent eyes, the moonlight reflects their
depths, his vigour stare penetrates, he
needs that longing ~
stepping out from shadows, craving each
ardour phase, his pen writes tales of his
carnal lust on satin white skin ~
he may, or may not find; a shy rose with the
kiss of fire on her lips, sipping wine in the
dim corners of his thoughts ~
concealed in an eclipse of his perfect form,
her mind will submit to all that twilight brings,
wanting only to be a dusty reflection
of a single crimson rose ~
he clearly...

I cling to fear because I
can't break free
I have tried to erase you from my
mind, however, you still haunt
my dreams
I wish I could run away
I want to scream
I abominate your appetite to administer pain
I lie in wait for the day,
when I can break free of you
Night after night,
you have attacked my entire being
physically, emotionally, spiritually
There is an open window to my soul,
but there is no one to hear my
silent cries
Confined within, are lies I cannot replace...

Dark of night seeps into me
penetrating every cell, the
distant yet too close for comfort,
the memory of cigar smoke, as he
blew it in my face ashes fall
upon my bare breasts, as this
Bastard pounds away at my flesh
until pieces of my soul descend
into decay
Breaking down what strength
remains purging every

You are irresolute

the knowledge, we have
grown apart, we want
different things, separation
Ever-changing seasons
we also have changed, morphed
into something unrecognizable,
like winter, we grew cold
our hearts suffused in malaise
Emersed in alcohol

Mother Natures colour

Stars evanesce into what's left of an ebony sky,
Dawn's first light is close at hand, as I step
onto my terrace inhaling that crisp morning
mist as it hangs heavy in the air
Cordillera mountain peaks make a picturesque
backdrop as the sun rises higher and higher
the soft, warm rays greet a new day
Reflecting fondly on adolescent years, I am
reminded of hopscotch played by the water's edge,
memories forever framed in the recesses of my mind
Sunlight bathes sea, topography and sky,
reminiscent of a childhood profoundly...
