A smile is a blanket
Covering all forms of tears and fear
A smile is hope
Shining bright as the sun,
The light.
A smile is a facade
Make believe stories that aren't true

Broken
I'm a golden bird with Daisy wings
Clipped and bound by those who own me.
I was born to fly and soar
But would I ever fulfil that promise?
I'm an eagle
Forced to live in the midst of pigeons.
I'm imprisoned,
Within four walls I can't see.
I'm a guitar,
Whose strings are work and broken.
I'm a guitar
Whose tune is meant for Kings.
I'm a future that holds a great promise.
I'm the light that'll shine for all to see
Clipped and bound by those who own me.

Despair
Desolation greets the earth
As I stare through my mind's eye.
My heart aches as it feels
The anguish of bleeding hearts.
With no light of hope,
The world seems a dark place.
Sullen cries of orphaned kids
Ring, through my deafened ears.
Emptied of all tears,
Their eyes stare blank.
Structures upon time, houses
Scarcely stand bare.
Blooming farmlands,
Turned charred grounds.
Wailing widows run the ruins
In search of their younglings.
Their red eyes swollen,
Streaming down steaming tears. ...
As I stare through my mind's eye.

Trauma
You betrayed my trust
For a few minutes of lust
And tore through my soul
With your every thrust
With brute strength, you forced
Yourself upon my broken will.
Because I'm weak,
You quenched your thirst
At my virgin cost
Despairingly, I watched
As you took apart my precious flesh.
I wept,
As my inner parts bled.
Steaming tears streamed
Down my fiery eyes.
As you cursed fluids, burnt
Through my battered thighs.
To whom then,
Would my sullen heart cry?
For a few minutes of lust

Screaming Silence
Lost in a sea of solitude,
with a heavy heart.
I set out to paddle through my sorrows.
My feeble legs can no longer carry my body
My soul is tired.
My heart is crying out in anguish but no one would listen.
The world seems a dark place
and i'm all alone.
I seek a shoulder to lean on
but no one would come
My heart is heavy with burden,
it threatens to break.
I seek an ear that cares
but none seems near.
So, i turn to my leaves
to bleed my heart in ink
with a heavy heart.
I set out to paddle through my sorrows.

Nefer titi
Taking long elegant strides,
She waded through.
Soundless,
Like infant petals on infant grass.
Rich ivory skin cover her glorious mound,
Shaped like an hourglass of ample gold.
Everywhere she goes, unwilling heads turn.
I'm held spellbound, as I stare with abandon
Powerless, against the charm of her summer smile.
Ocean blue eyes gaze through my very soul.
Like the moon in the pitch of darkness,
She glows.
She waded through.
