What Is Nature
The birds know.
The birds understand their connection to everything.
They know what nature is, what it should be.
But now, they get confused.
The Industrial Age..The Information Age..The Wasteful Age
The birds get confused.
They think plastic bags are normal
Metal, rubber, and aluminum foil have become food
Human debris is mistaken for prey,
Ingested and passed on.
The birds know what that bright star in the sky does, how it affects them.
The birds understand cycles.
They recognize seasons, time, hot and cold.
They know where to go...

What He Is To Me
His swagger is right
His mind is sound and his words are profound
He’s sweet like me
He’s what I want my son to be
He is amazing
He’s a homie I can crack jokes with
He’s a lover who knows when to fight
He’s a friend I talk to day and night
He’s gentle and strong
He can admit when he’s wrong
He is indescribable
He’s heart, and wise, and so much more
He is Love
His mind is sound and his words are profound

Be a Teacher
If you teach the youth that our history started with slaves
They will behave with depraved indifference to ending up in a grave too soon
The mentality garnered from a government curriculum, produces kids numb to what they can become
Leaves kids unaware of their power to create
Look around your neighborhood for proof
Teach our youth the truth;
Our history started millions of years ago in the Congo,
In Kemet in Kush,
From Egypt to the Bush
Great Warriors, Kings, and Queens
Improve a child’s dreams by telling them the whole story from the beginning;...

Constantly looking ahead I want more for myself
Something fulfilling in addition to wealth
A life full of love I see clearly in front of me
Always perfecting my craft,
Those who don’t are just wanna-be’s
Nothing can hold me back I’d like to see who’d even try, the odds I defy
Not a part time goal setter but a go-getter, and I’m no better
Than the next wo-man except I do have a plan for my life
Guess I’m making God laugh
And I know that some people don’t know what I mean
But I’m sick of the monotonous routine
Unseen is my potential here

I Am Home
The vibration of my words leaves sensation in my verbs
My nouns are more pronounced as the sound waves continue to bounce
I am in the realm of the unseen yet all is felt
Conscious connectedness blesses me with its presence
My adjectives live and become more vivid, with one pivot of my voice
The rotation of my voice swings back around to me
Now, sound I see
Inexplicable to you but natural to me
I feel my language. This is my new language
I write my poems with sound, so you can feel me
My mood surrounds you as what I think you experience
