My life is like a melody
Without you, it's incomplete
You are the rhythm that sets the beat
And the harmony that makes it sweet
I can't imagine living without you
My heart beats only for you
You are the sunshine in my days
And the starlight in my nights, always
I need you like the flowers need the rain
Without you, I'm lost and in pain
You are the one who brings me peace
And in your arms, my soul finds release

How do they do it, those who make love
without love's touch? Graceful as dancers,
gliding together like skaters on ice,
their fingers intertwined, bodies locked
in a passionate embrace, faces flushed
like steak, wine, wet as newborns
whose mothers will soon let them go.
How do they arrive at the peak,
at the peak, at the peak, where God resides,
without loving the one who shares the journey,
as light slowly rises, like steam from their entwined
skin? These are the true devotees,
the purists, the masters, who refuse
