LOVE POEM

A biologist once said
A biologist once said,
"Biologically, love is a powerful neurological condition like hunger or thirst,
only more permanent."
This didnt make sense to me,
Since,
We need food and water to survive,
And It doesnt even help love thrive,
How can something we cant even see be so important?
Then I realized,
Its importance,
I see love in your eyes,
Every morning when I wake up.
I taste love every day when you quench my thirst, with a glass of water and a passionate kiss.
I hear love every time we get in a car,
And you tell me to...

If love had eyes
I once heard that love is blind,
That she cant see age, color, or height,
but that's not it just weight, she cant see that either,
She doesn't dare discriminate against gender,
She's too busy reminiscing on those who wanted to be thinner,
When the truth is to her, we are all winners,
Now, I know she must have had lasik,
Because lets face it,
I fell in love with you at first sight,
or was it your height? standing just right i can kiss your forehead,
or lock lips until you turn blood-red,
No, it must have been your skin,
Richer that gold, a color...
That she cant see age, color, or height,

Ruining my life
Standing on this balcony,
Puffing, Puffing away the only thing I have left,
Reevaluating my agony,
What do I have left?
What have I done to myself,
This cant be good for my health,
Waking up in your bed,
Looking at your head,
Carrying yet another new face that ill never see again,
Because I know this love is only pretend,
And as I descend, down this ladder,
Ill let you pick,
The latter,
Tell your "boys" of the ass you just got,
Or of the ass you've already forgot-ten-men,

Distance
Distance,
That thing between us,
That thing that keeps my arms from holding you,
That thing that, that,
That keeps me from looking into your eyes,
Distance,
The only thing that keeps my love away from me,
Its funny how distance goes about its work,
Physically pushing us apart,
Yet emotionally strengthening our heart,
Distance,
That weightless power carrying so much strength,
But we have the power to grow it weak,
The way we grew our love,
From a fate filled seed containing no greed,
A mixture,
Of each other,

Roses,
Are ashamed to bloom in your presence,
Your beauty,
Steals my breath away,
Like oxygen being ripped out of a punctured lung,
Your eyes,
Pierce my soul,
Robbing me of my deepest secrets,
Gladly filling your mind,
With whats always on mine,
All my wishes and dreams never to come true,
Until I met you,
A beautiful and non-judgmental,
Angel,
Sent from above,
One day ill even show you wedding doves,

Racial Hate
I wish we lived in a world were we loaded songs and not guns,
A world that dropped beats and not bombs,
And I agree with the right to bear arms,
Cuz nothings wrong with showing a little bare arm,
But something is wrong with the murder of Travon,
Cuz a killer popped a shot in a kid poppin skittles,
And I'm sure his mom misses when he was innocent and little,
Like Jordan's mom misses him,
Unlike when his killer didn't miss him,
Because he'd mistaken music to loud for a loaded shotgun,
Told his wife "hang on, I'll kill this nigger Hun"
then...

Past Times
As I sit here with her on my mind,
all I can reminice on is our past times.
good memories stampeaded by the bad
arguments that still drive me mad
because he has something I wish I had.
The girl of my dreams with a smile that beams
and deams me as....
just another boring theme
and it seems as though ive lost everything
but more importantly, Ive lost you
the only friend who remained honest and true,
and if your wondering,
then yeah baby
I still love you too
all I can reminice on is our past times.

July Fourth
It's the fourth of July moments before the clock struck dusk.
To America, this means night skies filled with exploading bright lights.
But to the hood, it's when our hearts skip beats as parents weap to the sight of there children lining the streets.
It's the one night of the year were every fight is between bullets,
And flesh.
A match my brother thought he could stop with his chest.
He was wrong.
This genocide is wrong.
Murdering children is wrong!
Why can't we right our wrong like I write this song to the sight of my mom as she says goodbye to her...

Occupy Life
I look forward to everyday like it's the first and fifteenth,
might not get that line if you was born with a silver spoon in your mouth,
and all you do is pout,
and all you do is grouch,
bout your moms penniless piggy bank above the couch,
I grew up with kids who saw they moms pass,
and they ain't the first or the last,
and deep down we all know she wasn't the first or the last,
it's natural genocide,
does that make God an ass?
and hang on dont judge me too fast,
I'm just filmin a movie tryin to build up my cast,
two crooked shots and...

This is a poem for my beautiful sister.
Sarah, I love you more than you'll ever know.
My One And Only
remember when a spitty finger in the sugar bowl was considerd candy?
and it seem'd like even the happy times brung pain since we smiled so hard?
its like just yesterday we were buildin forts on the couch,
or movin from house to house
we saw easy times but were followed by hard
but i always had my one and only, mother hen, sister and friend
a relationship that'll never come to an end
remember nights helpin mom when dad wasnt home?
