Synonymous with flawless skin
age is the nemesis of youth
---its agents madly storming beaches
marching their jackbooted crows feet
around as many closed eyelids
as there are heads in the sand

When the bakery owner
looked at the lesbians
as if they were threatening his soul
with eternal damnation, I said
Fuck it --- let's just go to Dairy Queen!
I was just kidding of course;
we went elsewhere to have

There are no glass ceilings
on men's sports teams
---only women whose dreams
shatter from brittling beliefs
that they can't compete
Those who make forward progress
in the collegiate football arena
play like a girl with
as well as against the boys
while you continue making noise
complaining that transgendered
males are sidelining females
from achieving their goals
If only you and them played
for love of the game?
Not fortune
