[ LGBTQ ] No Cake For Mean People
A palate of difference exists
between conviction and oppression
---another's vanilla bean belief alone
is incapable of thwarting your ability
in make decadent chocolate dreams
manifest
Forcing someone else's hand
into catering to your affairs
punishing for lacking acceptance
of who you insist you are
is the censorship from a bully
you are supposedly a victim of
and fighting to undo
Can't have your cake
and eat it too
but you can take your business
further down the street...

[ Politics ] Invasion of the Body Politic Snatchers
In the year 2020
1 out of every 4 Republicans
are Republicans no more
as alien raiding Party implants
known as QAnon
burst from the GOP
uterine conservatory
writing a presidential ticket of its own
in sequel to the story
shattering the Trump empire's chance
of striking back in 2024
That's what happens
when you throw stones
from inside a house of glass
whitewashing Democrats
in broad strokes as radical
and unhinged folks
---crazy bites you in...

beware the dreaded Clepsydra!
She's a hydroponic hydra
of sonic, phonic malice
with copperheaded agua nagas
whose underhanded, ugly faces
will always try to tell you it's
Dinnertime! Bathtime! Bedtime!
Tell you it's time for this!
Tell you it's time for that!
No matter where you are
or when you are at!

humans created their own monsters
two hundred years of Science Fiction
literature as taught us to be distrusting
but when technology has failed us
and the manmade world is rusting

convinced not a single living soul
within shouting distance knows
where you're coming from;
rarely making eye contact
except with passersby
on Imagination Avenue---
there, cutting corners
