Silent Shadow
My silent shadow
Is my only companion
Darkness bred from light.
Its silent footsteps
Echo like my heartbeat
I’m never alone.
Two sides of a coin
I flick it up in the air
Switch from Yin to Yang.
I follow the light
Yet I hide in the darkness
My shadow is gone.
The sun and moon dance
I’m never far from the light
At last I’m at peace.
Is my only companion

Secret
Got a secret, can you keep it? "Yes"; that's what you say.
I put my trust in you, and go my own way.
I showed you, I told you, I asked you to keep my secret.
But my trust was misplaced, and you couldn't keep it.
How could you; how could I have trusted you with my secret?
It was obvious from the start that you stole it for your profit.
I need somebody, anybody, to bring back my secret.
It involves personal worries that get worse by the minute.
I'm so lonely, and angry; give me back my secret!
...
I put my trust in you, and go my own way.
I showed you, I told you, I asked you to keep my secret.
But my trust was misplaced, and you couldn't keep it.
How could you; how could I have trusted you with my secret?
It was obvious from the start that you stole it for your profit.

Fly Away- Phoenix Army Ballad
As the great ones fight a war,
Out comes the sun and the moon who dance.
After the blood has been spilt,
We will know the one who stands.
Fly away, fly away,
Leave the dead where they fall.
Maybe you'll find the way,
And at last bring us home.
Our brothers and fathers die around us,
Our mothers cry mournfully.
We daughters are left behind,
Wondering what will become of our destiny.
Fly away, fly away,
Leave the dead where...

Eternal Sleep
From your place up so high,
I stretch my fingers and touch the sky;
Mama says that you’ll fall down,
She says: “please land safely on the ground.”
I don’t remember your face,
But I still feel your embrace;
Each time I hear the engines roar,
The pang in my heart feels sore.
Papa, I miss you; I want you home,
Please don’t leave me all alone;
Mama weeps because you went to eternal sleep.
I don’t understand why I won’t ever see you again.
The light suddenly goes out,
And then I hear mama shout; ...

Sleep
Gather round for the tale of falling asleep,
Where you enter the world of hope and dreams.
Close your eyes, calm your breathing, fall asleep,
And enter the world meant for you and me.
Settle down, rest your soul after a good day,
Perhaps tomorrow you’ll have new things to play.
Go outside, watch the sun; enjoy your day,
Remember the memories that made you stay.
Lose your frown, it’s not worth your energy,
It’s easier said, but you’ll be free.
Loosen up, don’t be tense; release your energy,
Never lose hope; always believe. ...

Why?
Why do you continue to act this way?
Doesn’t it bother you when your mother cries?
Please listen to what I have to say,
It might just save your life.
Why do you hang out with the wrong crowd?
You know your mother doesn’t approve of them.
It’s like your head is up in the clouds,
You do exactly what your mother condemns.
Why do you put yourself in a vulnerable state?
Do you not realize the consequences?
With our “nagging” you may feel hate,
We’re just trying to make you cautious.
Why do you push away your loved ones? ...

Leave Me Alone
I want to be alone,
I don’t want to see anyone,
Yet I’m not free to just roam,
Around where it’s just the sun;
Acting as my luminescent guide,
Towards an uncertain destiny,
Emotions are chocking me from the inside,
I need to be free!
I’ve had just about enough,
Why can’t anyone see that?
I’m expected to be strong and tough,
Why can’t anyone see just how sad;
I am with all these changes,
Some of which I never wanted,
The ones I look up to are full of pain,
Instead, they come to me for...
I don’t want to see anyone,
Yet I’m not free to just roam,

The Bullying Poem
You’re hurting now,
Being exposed to endless torment feuds,
I know what it’s all about,
Because I went through it too.
The provokers are evil,
They each rip at your pure soul,
They try to lower you to their level,
Where their torture will take its toll.
You’ve had enough,
You want to let go,
Please don’t give up!
You have so much to live for, petit beau.
You say: “If I take my life,
It’ll make the pain stop.”
Don’t give up on your fight!
You’ve hit rock bottom; now it’s time for you to climb up.

Our Hope and Strength
What once was lost can now be found,
But try too hard and we might fall down.
We must guard well, to not betray,
The ones that hold our hope and strength.
Our hope and strength…
Lost in the memories, and the pain that comes with them,
Drowning in self-misery, but we no longer have to pretend.
No matter the cost, we must convey,
All of our effort to our hope and strength.
