I felt the fire, but it didn't burn
I saw the world, but it didn't turn
My mind said run, my heart said stay
How was I to know it would all fall away
It started with a promise that turned into a lie
But in the end I wish I never would have tried
So now I stand alone, feeble and weak
Still looking for someone to help stem the leak
