The Cowboy Way
Toss another log into the fire
Sparks rise up higher and higher
Reaching for the old kettle pot
Careful now the handle may be hot
Pouring the coffee steam rises up
Filling the old favorite tin cups
The wind rustles the air is damp
Toss more logs into the fire heat for the camp
Horses have all been watered and fed
Time to roll out the blankets a cowboy bed
Tossing more logs into the fire
Off to sleep, I begin to retire
Tossing more logs into the fire a little bit heat
Flapjacks on the griddle time to eat
Horses watered and...

The Hardest Thing
The Hardest Thing
I’ve ever had to go through,
it wasn’t letting go of you.
That was difficult though,
I want to let you know.
To swallow my pride,
wear a smile to hide.
Admit you turned aside-
these facts I do not lie.
Oh no, the Hardest Thing
I’ve ever had to do,
was finally admit to.
Myself the naked truth,
and thou never cam' st in sooth.
Also, the Hardest Truth
It was admitting that you,
even if like a myth too.
Wait just with-hold the if,
Cause you were never mine to begin...
I’ve ever had to go through,

Forbidden Lust or Treat
This forbidden lust held within, bleeding,
yet the persistence craving often fleeting.
Seeing you it holds me to a shutter,
my heart begins a rapid flutter.
For my lips itch for your kiss,
would thou honor me this?
This curiosity I often quelled,
your soul's pure brightness I've beheld.
This aching hunger wanting to be sated,
this lustful craving waiting to be abated.
My mind urges this carnal appetite all right--
you're restrained knowing the taste could be contrite.
I'm aware the flavor of my desire is...

Taste of Fear
I truly love the taste of fear
that dances on my tongue,
as it provides a sense of awe
in crowds, I walk among.
The serpent's egg has hatched, and I'm
the asp who crawled away.
Although the future stings my eyes,
it's I who'll lead the way.
Mankind will be the first to go.
He has no will to think,
and I'll imbibe his panic as
he's standing on the brink.
Man thinks his cesspool's Eden, but
his garden's dead and gone.
My gift to him is anarchy,
and flames will be his dawn.

Lullaby of Darkness
I lost time's tick to tacit sanctum there,
Drifting entranced, unable to arise.
Why resist the sweet lullaby of darkness?
Let your limbs grow heavy
Let your mind dull its sharpness
Why fret over revenge or violence?
When in turn you can except the silence?
Let the shadow bound symphonies play their violins
No need for fear, welcome to my asylum
So just rest your eyes, and enjoy the silence
Why resist the lullaby of the darkness?
Just let it in, and end the violence.
Lying here in the dark tonight ...
