I can’t seem to heal these painful cracks
the one’s that are running down my hands
feels like my time is coming to an end
when every movement pushes me to the edge
and as I breathe into the night
I know I’ll never see the light
the things I’ve experienced drove me crazy
sleeping in a dark room makes me uneasy
prying for a god that understands
prying even though I never believed in shit
I’m picking off the pieces of skin
wish I could stop this madness
I finally know what hate is, it’s me

World of Love
everything’s a black and white movie scene
crimson red lips stand out
with hazel eyes calling me in
my heart beating out my chest
all around there’s storms spinning
besides the calm that barricades us
fills me with an overwhelming feeling
aren’t we all looking for this moment?
more colors emerge
storms dissipate
sky turning blue with yellow sun peeking through
it reveals there’s a world of love
so I hold my hand out to see
will you take it and venture with me?
love is this two way street ...

knowing what we do is wrong
yet feels so right
guilty, but not apologizing

when I see victims treated like liars
untruthful until proven truthful
like they’re supposed to remember every detail
as they are being attacked
why is it that rapist get light sentences?
like destroying a life isn’t worth more than a couple years?
and that’s if they get sentenced at all
how’s a crime so disgusting not seen as a bigger problem?
the system is not based on equality
when it comes to a woman being attacked
then she best have Johnnie Cochran
otherwise she needs to find a...
