Your To Do List by Kwasi Atiba
Step as if the ground beneath you was cotton candy
Speak as if every sentence is obese
Sing as if nobody can hear you
Dive into the waters as if they will take you to Atlantis
Breathe and let the air be cocaine in your nostrils
Talk to your parents the same way you would your best friend
Have enthusiasm like a kid that won a spelling bee
Let the music put you into a trance
Don't take sides, instead tell them to stop fighting
Let insanity be your third gear
Sit on the porch and let the Sun nourish you
Reunite with old friends and let the good times...

Goodbye Bus!
It is gonna be hard to say I miss being packed like sardines inside you. I blame it on overpopulation.
Goodbye Red Steps!
I walked on you almost every day, heading off somewhere, but you never collapsed on the weight that I carry. Thank you
Goodbye Porch Chairs!
I barely sat on you guys but you served your purpose during important times.
Goodbye Concrete!
I tripped on you and looked like a fool. I either marched or shuffled on you.
I am off to the other side of America

Bird's Eye View
People having sex,
Keeping kids blinded with the TV
Moaning
Saying "Go to school young one"
Being a drop-out themselves
"Don't smoke that"
When they used to be a DUTCH MASTER
"Don't talk to strangers"
When they can be a way out of miserable life

We Try
We try
To have unconditional love
And it does not take much effort
A Pisces and a Libra
Not the most compatible match
But I still love you
The support is endless
I feel the more we make plans, the better our connection gets
I want you to open up
I feel you have more to say
You read my unfinished life story
A happy ending is almost certain
The tight grip may weaken me
But it's better than being lonely
And at times I reverse it
We try
You don't even know
But we will make this last

Hip-Hop changed
You can say Im stuck in the past
But hits of today got me dissapointed with rap
Where did the synthesizers and lame choruses come from?
I'm old school,All I need is bass, piano, and drums
The average MC today would brags and boast
About their lady counts and "blasting toast"
The whips, the big ass chains on their neck
All plays to a major theme of respect
I write rhymes like that myself, it's not too hard
But I really prefer to come from the heart
