Can I really take a second chance
Will I allow him to lift the jar once more
Or will I just be that raisin cookie at the bottom all crumbled up
You demeaned me to unknown
You told me I wasn't worthy enough to lift my head

I stayed up day in and day out plotting
But then I watched as you went in your room, only to get a goodnight's sleep

You return a look as if I've been soaked in vinegar
Hey you please look at me, love me to the edge of the earths understanding

But my finish line keeps moving
