POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Intellectual, romantic, and philosophical... within my writings you will find beauty even in the darkest of places, and light even within the blackness of night itself.
Barbarian Sorcerer: Swords of Doom
- Barbarian Sorcerer: Swords of Doom -
In the days after Atlantis sank by mighty force,
And the giants of old fell below the vast sea…
The kingdoms of man feuded in savage wars,
As the light of the past dimmed from memory!
Risen hither came I, in my armor of black iron,
To plunder the realms: for steel and for jewels.
By cunning and craft, I toppled many a crown,
And those who worshipped me oft were cruel.
A barbarian sorcerer was I, and kings feared,
The Queen I served, from a world now dust…
Queen of Dragons, the Serpent flame-seared,

Blood at Hara
- Blood at Hara -
Based on some of my past-life memories…
I stood, within a hexagram etched on the old floor,
Before an altar where stood a large wooden cross…
In the castle of Hara, where I so waited once more:
For God, to come to my soul’s defense at any cost.
For, the Shogun was wrathful, because of our faith,
And brought the armies of his nation to Hara’s gate.
He did not know me, and had never seen my face…
Nor had he need to, in order to indulge in his hate!
It was enough we were different, to warrant death,

I Wish I Were A Goddess
- I Wish I Were A Goddess -
I wish I were a goddess, of serene beauty like the night.
Then I would live forever, and not need Heaven’s light!
For I could build a paradise, to rival Eden in its’ prime;
Both men and women would love me in ways sublime!
I would wear the finest garments, spun on angel looms,
And dwell in a temple with at least a thousand rooms…
No sacrifices to desecrate the altar of my eternal glory.
I would be a true living bible where is written my story!
My elect would be immortal, in this life as well the next,
And our garden...

Broken Heart and Burning Soul
- Broken Heart and Burning Soul -
A meditation on my deepest despair…
Part One: Hatred
My heart is heavy, for too many cares have worn me…
Beyond flesh, beyond bone, until my spirit is tormented.
Fears and terrors claw at my will until they are all I see,
And for too long now, I have of my loneliness lamented.
Why does no one see me, truly see me for my beauty?
I have been used, abused, tortured and then cast away.
Too much pain I have known, and seek only to be free!
All I see around me is darkness, even in the light of day.

A Night Like This
- A Night Like This -
A Song about Love and Death
On a night like unto this, when the wind did howl…
And the trees swayed like dancers in their grace,
I saw swiftly descending, a snow-white owl…
With wings spreading wide and delicate as lace.
Flying ever higher with the spirits of the night,
Searching everywhere, for that perfect height.
A messenger of powers that no longer reign…
Searching for wisdom, whilst ignoring the pain.
Wings of the night, making my spirit to soar,
I cannot forget what I have been searching for.

Being an Allegory about Two Aspects of Love
Prelude – Ritual of Calling
Oh muses: gift me with your honey and let it be song!
For I seek to put into words such a sensual splendor.
So oft, do we put much stock in what is right, wrong,
And those are but words without meaningful thunder.
Inside every soul is wildness, and my own I realize…
For there is power in such domains of understanding!
So come away with me to a moment of no great size,
But which occupies my thought so very commanding.
As the ages come full...

Diana’s Song
- Diana’s Song -
A ship there was in the void of the stars,
Where a people lost journeyed very far…
They remembered the bite of fear and fire.
But two hearts beat with a single desire…
Diana, you were as much a rebel as was I.
You had a bold heart and a sparkling eye!
How tightly you held me when they came,
To end all our rebellion in Heaven’s name!
A ship of fools with no place left to roam.
On a sea of night with no water or foam…
When the war of the gods raged too long,
Diana and I sang out one last defiant song!
So much...

Winged Bliss
- Winged Bliss -
In soaring, like an angel, on winged bliss,
I felt like dancing, across the very skies…
And for but the price of thy warmest kiss:
I would bring thee the sun as it doth rise!
No greater love could I bestow than this,
Nor nobler passion to between us realize.
Mayhap we could, to old Mars fly so far,
To paint hearts on that red planet’s sands!
Mayhap we could touch each distant star,
And visit on other worlds, ancient lands…
Bringing to the galaxy peace and not war.
Our only law being our love’s commands!
In fields...

Sacred Fire
- Sacred Fire -
I stand, within a wooded grove, by an ancient shrine,
A necklace of green jade around my neck, so cool…
Unlike the heat of the day, when the sun did so shine!
I come to commune with the spirits there, like a fool,
But one with a cunning and serenity that is most wise.
I spread my arms and feel the sacred fire emerging…
So beautiful, more so than any sorcery I could devise!
The rosy hue of the light of my own spirit does sing…
As the white of my garments, is bathed in a radiance,
Which is so perfect, so pure, that I find myself...

Winds of Mount Fuji
- Winds of Mount Fuji -
Based on some of my past-life memories…
Part One: Distant Thunder
Golden, was all the time we spent, within the old halls…
Upon those noble slopes, upon the crag few can reach.
Whereon, lay a castle, of many tiers and rugged walls…
Therein, my warmth made you to blush like rosy peach!
We dined, we laughed, we sang, and we did make love,
Whilst without, the winds howled from my inner fears…
You made them fade for a time like sunlight from above.
Your hand was so tender as it wiped away all my tears!
My face was...

Beyond the Distant Door
- Beyond the Distant Door -
Behold the clouds that gather in the azure skies!
Come night, when they are replaced by starlight,
And the glow of day, has had its’ daily demise…
The fluffy white, shall give way to a darker sight:
Imagine each star is a flower upon a velvet field.
If I had the power, I would pick a star for you…
For you wear in your hair, its’ glory to thus yield:
Before our desires, to make dreams come true!
By the light of that star, I would take you away,
To the sands of the sea, where old gods do rise!
There, I would paint you...
