POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I write mostly about my day to day emotions, experiences, and thoughts. Every fucked up thought I have usually ends up here.
Deja Vu
Folded in a blanket of wistfulness
As if sleepwalking through starry nights
As though my path has been already trodden
Dazed in a flashback, hurling through time
As if sleepwalking through starry nights
As though my path has been already trodden
Dazed in a flashback, hurling through time

No Tears Tonight
Agitated sighs like shrouds
Of smoky fog sting my eyes
Prickling feelings of watering irises
Yet my heart is cold with defiance
Of smoky fog sting my eyes
Prickling feelings of watering irises
Yet my heart is cold with defiance

Government's Woe
You would program me like an automaton
March me through your assembly line
Lead me blindly into the darkness
Drag my integrity through a scat pile
Then condemn me for being unclean
Strip my dignity and violate my trust
And wonder why I'm naked and afraid
... Fuck you
March me through your assembly line
Lead me blindly into the darkness
Drag my integrity through a scat pile
Then condemn me for being unclean
Strip my dignity and violate my trust
And wonder why I'm naked and afraid
... Fuck you

Its Not Much But Its Home
Gray like overcast skies
Old wooden kindling
On dull red sand it lies
Through knock down wars of will
And devastating tornadoes
There it stands valiant and still
Echoes of our voices and laughter
The purr of a contented cat
Freshly cut aromas from the push mower
Familiarity in the very existence of it
The place I've always called my home
I dream of wandering far away... Yet
My roots will always be planted
In this red Mississippi sand
Old wooden kindling
On dull red sand it lies
Through knock down wars of will
And devastating tornadoes
There it stands valiant and still
Echoes of our voices and laughter
The purr of a contented cat
Freshly cut aromas from the push mower
Familiarity in the very existence of it
The place I've always called my home

My roots will always be planted

Pause With Me
Grasp my hand in yours
And pause with me this morning
Watch the sun poke its head over the trees
Hear the birds' trilling symphony
Note the way the dew sparkles in the sunshine
On the silky abode of a garden spider
Watch feathery dandelion seeds disperse in the wind
Twirl a fragrant wildflower between your fingers
Ignore the busy-ness elsewhere
Just walk with me for today
Let me show you every small beauty
And chase the world away
And pause with me this morning
Watch the sun poke its head over the trees
Hear the birds' trilling symphony
Note the way the dew sparkles in the sunshine
On the silky abode of a garden spider
Watch feathery dandelion seeds disperse in the wind
Twirl a fragrant wildflower between your fingers
Ignore the busy-ness elsewhere
Just walk with me for today
Let me show you every small beauty
And chase the world away

Firsts
Tentative awakenings
Birthing to a bolder existence
Like stagnant water
Moved and rejuvenated
Fresher and purer again
Birthing to a bolder existence
Like stagnant water
Moved and rejuvenated
Fresher and purer again

dancing in the breeze
fingers of the wind
interlaced
with branches
swaying together
as the sun casts
an airy glow
on their dance floor
sorry I haven't been active lately...
been writing songs and experiencing writers block
off and on... I'll have to catch up on all the
wonderful word play on here... I've missed you!

Now I See
Misty eyes
In wistful musings
Of what could have been
If only
The mind behind
Those eyes
Had been
Less timid
And more daring
To shove against barriers
And fight to find
New experiences
Now its too
Late
In wistful musings
Of what could have been
If only
The mind behind
Those eyes
Had been
Less timid
And more daring
To shove against barriers
And fight to find
New experiences
Now its too
Late

Just One Of Those Moods
Secluded
Dark curtains pulled tight
Chilly air from the AC
Unheeded goosebumps on my skin
Alone
But not quite lonely
No desire for family
And their bothersome mouths
Melancholic
Writing cryptic or erotic poetry
Or wallowing in frustration
Of a pitiful writers block
Dark curtains pulled tight
Chilly air from the AC
Unheeded goosebumps on my skin
Alone
But not quite lonely
No desire for family

Writing cryptic or erotic poetry

I Am Not A Poet
I am not a poet
Just a meager girl with unsettled emotions
That sometimes pour out onto paper and cyber space
Like what feels like a garbage truck tipped over
Cluttering much more articulate one's places
I am not a poet
I have not yet found my precious nook
Something I can rise and rest for every day
To fill my passions with like nothing else
I work in sporadic intervals... like child's play
I am not a poet
Too full of self doubt and questioning
Too often I weave together words which sound...
So utterly plain and...
