Life of an Eagle
From brown earth to blue sky, the winds move and sweep under me/ encouraging/ me to fly/ When I fly/ I fly high/ but I fly alone/ My altitude is unmatched and hardly if any other has flown/ if you saw what I see every day your mind would be blown/your brain probably couldnt contain the marvels, terrible and awesome things my eyes have shown/ me/ seeing this world in its authenticity/ while being able to move freely

Drowning
I was once swimming in a place of happiness and bliss/only to find myself reminicing the time I lived/body stiff and breathing restricted/ while slowly decending down to unknown depths and looking for ways to be lifted/ feeling defeated/ because my attempt to save myself is of to no avail/ I'm so far down in the water that no one can tell/ no evidence of me drowing is present/ I try making a sound but I am hesitant/ because opening my mouth will only add more pain and hasten my demise/this is so oppressing and surpressing that I cant even cry/ prayed, call on friends and family to help me?/...

I come across a woman naturally/ the vibes are mutual and she makes me happy/ I decide she's the one I want to spend my life with for an eternity/only to find that I'm in a preptual loop that's challenging my integrity/
I'm pouring myself out to her/ trying to remedy the pains and discomforts that occur/dismissing the nay sayers and what ever nonsense I may have heard/ and yet I'm the one held in contempt/ an innocent/this is something I don't deserve/

Freed but chained to the mercy of your perspectives. I roam with no chains but yet imprisoned and restricted and no this is not me just being defensive. You were selective in how you've treated me and what you'll do to me and how you see me. Ultimately you gave me what I believed was me being free. But what does it mean to be free. Dear Mirror,
Who am I/
A question that usually ends with another question, Why/
Why do I see me as a being of less worth even though those of worth are from the same earth/
Why do I seem feeble and weak/ While strength has been something I always strive for and seek/
Even at my peak I stood tall with my chest out and gave a salute/
For the red white and blue is what I knew and the diminish of self worth still continued/
Who am I, what am I, how am I, different questions that are like a personal reflection/ that is unknown/
