Kalimah
There’s a new found peace inside of me,
I have been given the power to let it be,
I know that this was all written for me,
It is up to me to find the beauty in all that I see.
If I could tell you what it means to let it be
You too would know of the peace that was given to me,
Some of us are blessed in this life,
Some of us give thanks for the strife.
When we understand that this is our test,
When we know our potential final place of rest,
Then we understand to give our life to the power,
Keep ourselves at the top of the tower....
I have been given the power to let it be,
I know that this was all written for me,
It is up to me to find the beauty in all that I see.
If I could tell you what it means to let it be
You too would know of the peace that was given to me,
Some of us are blessed in this life,

MISCELLANEOUS POEM

This Road
This is no walk in the park,
This road I am taking is dark,
And silent.
There are no flowers,
I have no magic powers,
And it shows.
The fear has gripped me,
There is nothing familiar here that I can see,
And the monsters know.
That I am alone,
The cold aches me to the bone,
And I am weak.
If I held your hands would I still be in trouble?
Would you put me in your bubble?
Would you walk with me?
Destroy all the bad we see?
Would we line our road with daises?
This road I am taking is dark,
And silent.
There are no flowers,

And it shows.

Left Behind
These tears have stained my mothers face,
God has taken my brothers hand and walked with him to a far away place,
A soul much too pure for a place like earth,
Memories of him break me for all I am worth,
We all have a mission and he already did what he came to do,
My only wish is you could have taken me on this journey with you,
With a pain in our hearts you had to leave us behind,
This family has existed ever since stuck in rewind,
The place he sits now is bright white and full of love,
God needed him back to restore glory in the nursery up above,...

Stream
If you laid in the stream it would carry you away,
Even the moon would turn its back on you at the start of a new day,
This was a path I had walked down before,
The only difference this time is how it wages a new war,
This was not a battle to be won,
We are at the end of the road but neither of us are done,
You made this game and you knew how to play,
Each move you made went your way,
I couldn’t forget all that I saw,
So we could say there was nothing left to do but shut that door,
I laid in that stream and I let it carry me away.
Even the moon would turn its back on you at the start of a new day,
This was a path I had walked down before,
The only difference this time is how it wages a new war,

Time
This time wasn’t ours but we stole it anyway,
Your love wasn’t mine but you gave it to me everyday,
You gave promises to me that were impossible to keep,
And stared blankly every time I would weep.
Gone were the times you just couldn’t walk on by,
Gone were the times I’d say jump and you’d say how high,
Gone were the times that you cared about me,
And gone were the times you were sure that we were meant to be.
He wears the horns that I carved myself,
I found no way to nurse him back to full health,
He looks at me with a vacant look...

Life Changes
I saw your heart in pain
Turmoil in each part of your brain
The fire in your eyes has died
Each time you thought about it you cried
I watched you wither in distress
For all you wanted was his head to caress
I know how much happiness he brings to your life
All that laughter seemingly condemned by your wife
Imagine if you could turn back time
I’d imagine things would turn out just fine
Would you say some things with your chest
Knowing everything would turn out for the best,
Would you see her and walk the other way
Is it for better...

Coming Undone
There is a pure kind of beauty in the shining sun,
The kind of beauty that allows these feelings to come undone,
I could cry in the rain
Show the whole world this pain
Alternatively I can lie under the glistening rays
Keep all that hurts me at bay
In the sun no one thinks to check twice
My poor heart surely pays the price
Although my lips will never tell
Isn’t it sad that no one knows me that well?
I wonder if his heart breaks when he hears my name
Or does his conscience cry out in guilt and shame?
Does the music have him think...

Someday, when my girl is big enough,
I will look in her eyes and tell her,
“I always needed you more.”
And I hope that when she hears the pain and despair in my voice,
she’ll take my hand and tell me,
“I had never realised before.”
And although I pray she can already feel it,
I will tell her daily how much I love her,
Because before her, I had never even felt seen,
How different my life would have been.
Where there is you to depend on me,
There will always be me also depending on you,
And I swear to support you in...
