OBSERVATIONAL POEM

Nobody Knows
The winds sit still and nobody knows
the clouds gather and nothing is shown
darkness takes hold and life lets go
hiding of the moonlit show
still nobody knows
The sun makes it up to my window sill
aimless I'm lost in another pill
gathering myself I long to see
what has overtaken me
but nobody knows
I'm half-way to the end but I missed the start
extracting shards of failure pulling me apart
broken back and peeled
my signed surrender is sealed
still nobody knows
Cast shadows walking the other...

My Dear Valentine (double acrostic)
In the depths of the night I swear I saw your halo
Drifting above, when my thoughts were calm
Ornate but simple like the humble daisy
Lovely and stunning from flower to bulb
Oh how I dreamt that you could be mine
Vision of beauty as the belle of the ball
Enchanting the evening as we waltz to and fro
You had my heart and I knew it was luv
O my beloved, my truth, my valentine
Until death do we part, my love to you I bid

When Her Yellow Meets My Blue
An unending glow wraps the silent moon
Her pull drags me near but I am still too far
Too far for her to hear my cries of joy
As I bask in her beauty
Too far to look into these hopeless eyes
Seeing my forgiving care
Forging into me to carry on
In a world that is unfair
But fairness isn't guaranteed
The righteous aren't always rewarded
And tomorrow isn't promised
As my thoughts dip into her goodness
As my lips mouth along to the song of her soul
I know all is well
And
I know all will be well
When your yellow meets...

Strong Emotions
Here we lie face to face
I long to engulf your embrace
I'll just lie still and enjoy the view
because baby I'm in love with you
My path, arduous like a black swan's song
Keeping tomorrow's unearthed faith
But finally, I am with you all night long.
Feeling a soft hand upon my cheek
Hearing your voice, sweet and smoky
Calling out my name as I delve
into the depths of your being
Pleasure the recessess of my mind
I'll be yours til the end of time
My heart races
Your touch tantalizes
Yearning ...

Silent Letters
In the depths of her words I dwell
every inflection and punctuation
accenting upon another emotion
but it's between the lines I rest
not understanding I confess
silent letters gnawing at my brain
maddening and driving me insane
They're out in the open
but hidden beneath
the cadence the dialect
making me a wreck
spell it out for me
I cant stress it enough
simply and slowly
leave out the fluff
Roll away with your r's
and dot those pretty little eyes
whisper sweet harmonies
with a melodic reprise

Peek In Through My Window
Wet wings hold back the morning song
clouds cover what was meant to be a perfect day
a loose boulder rolls uphill after an earthquake
mountaintops screech it's time for tea
but I'm relegated to run away
Laying low in a one-act show
bundled in tinted eyes of baby blue
opening lost love letters never sent
spilt drops of honey in shades of red
encompass somber sounds of want
Peek in through my window
past a painted pain innocence took
sharp edges smothered in waves of honor
flapping up high in a hallowed field ...

Flightless
Through the open panes I ponder
a nightingale lost in flight
singing to me a soulful song
Her beak barely quivers but her sound
it resonates deep
waiting for me to gain my wings
But I am flightless
even my thoughts are capped
in a bottled-up breeze
I long to feel again
freedom amongst a pristine sky
Come into my window
and help me float away
if only through waning eyes
Release these chains
that restrict and restrain
holding me back
make me relative again
Be the pull to...

Brave: Gravity
Petals: pristine~pure desire float
lullabies roam aspheric space
touches reached just out of scope
Brave: gravity glides on outspread wings
with the willow weeping sullenly low
blanket in balance a presence bestows
Tight: comfort held in passion's show
lightening a starless~sterile sky
sacred secrets whispered overnight
Dawn: feelings warmed on nature's bed
dew drops glisten upon peril's view
rhythmic swirls arise affectless anew
lullabies roam aspheric space
touches reached just out of scope

Waiting To Bleed
Stroll the narrow path through sensitivity
Life's will cramped as a camped companion
Lost and lonely just waiting to bleed
Never knowing you're all I need
Society, spilt out onto the sidewalks
Leading to a nether land
One by one and two by two
Are you me or am I you
Trouble on a tilted plane
Discovering nothing at all again
Not here today not gone tomorrow
Suffer the silence, spill your sorrow
Nothing's real but the pain I feel
One more sip off the bottle let me steal
Chasing hard choices in a soft supple...
Life's will cramped as a camped companion

Breaking Me Apart
Wafts of a relentless rain remain
change in chilled air stifles the night
heavy hearts hopelessly rearranged
me looking at you
you looking at me
but neither of us see
winds drifting in
winds drifting out
pulling us apart
Sunshine spilt all her dreams
into a bucket of mystery
one we reached for but was
filled only with pride and misery
lonely clouds drift away
along side of you
looking back at me
but not able to see
