POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Remember the past, plan for the future, but live for today, because yesterday is gone and tomorrow may never come
Birth Of A Heart
born a waiting heart
soft kisses at dawn's first light
a doe lifts her head
soft kisses at dawn's first light
a doe lifts her head

A Silhouette
Plush red velvet pillows rest secluded
light bent amid scenic shoji screens
ornate vines twist and turn giving way
a silhouette stares ahead without face
Pin pricked blood blackened by pain
drips holes drilled out stitched
loop by loop the fabrics of life
tying up loose-end-less thoughts
Time still lost but never found
feelings frost within a frigid wind
felt in the recesses of the dark
trembling fingers wave farewell
light bent amid scenic shoji screens
ornate vines twist and turn giving way
a silhouette stares ahead without face
Pin pricked blood blackened by pain
drips holes drilled out stitched
loop by loop the fabrics of life
tying up loose-end-less thoughts
Time still lost but never found
feelings frost within a frigid wind
felt in the recesses of the dark
trembling fingers wave farewell

Love Is All Around
Southern breeze and honey bees calling
sweet magnolia carry me off your way
spilt scents blushed in waning afternoons
shimmers of boundless love are coming true
Coloured meadows and swaying sagebrush
moving slowly to a melody overcoming me
painted pretty roundabout mentoring skies
bringing streaks of sunshine shining through
Rolling hills of pleasure sit in warm complexion
viewing amber nods as heaven winks her eye
before long near dusk will consume her grandeur
and dreams of tomorrow will soon come floating by
sweet magnolia carry me off your way
spilt scents blushed in waning afternoons
shimmers of boundless love are coming true
Coloured meadows and swaying sagebrush
moving slowly to a melody overcoming me
painted pretty roundabout mentoring skies
bringing streaks of sunshine shining through
Rolling hills of pleasure sit in warm complexion

and dreams of tomorrow will soon come floating by

When Thoughts Come Home
Mine eyes drift back, incensed in forgotten seams
intoxicated by wondrous wafts of camphor
I blink three times and bow
The wetness dripping off my brow
sizzles reminding me of the trinity
as aches pause momentarily on bended knee
Flickers of hope dance and in wicked light
I focus on her blue attempting
to be one again with you
Beads of rays coloured tap gently
upon pain stained cheeks
and one by one I release her orbs
into a teardrop sky
intoxicated by wondrous wafts of camphor
I blink three times and bow
The wetness dripping off my brow
sizzles reminding me of the trinity
as aches pause momentarily on bended knee
Flickers of hope dance and in wicked light
I focus on her blue attempting
to be one again with you
Beads of rays coloured tap gently
upon pain stained cheeks
and one by one I release her orbs
into a teardrop sky

Make Me Feel Again
The beats pound faster as the clouds roll in
storm winds blowing and sunlight disappears
rain soaked stories are soon approaching
washing away all I had ever lived for
Holding on in the recesses of my heart
the euphoria of love can't be replicated
floating dreams in an everlasting scene
fighting feelings closed in a far away breeze
Pain comes in many forms
too much for one soul to bleed
life cant be lived if left alone
the touch of an angel is all I need
Whisper softly you still care for me ...
storm winds blowing and sunlight disappears
rain soaked stories are soon approaching
washing away all I had ever lived for
Holding on in the recesses of my heart
the euphoria of love can't be replicated
floating dreams in an everlasting scene
fighting feelings closed in a far away breeze
Pain comes in many forms
too much for one soul to bleed
life cant be lived if left alone
the touch of an angel is all I need
Whisper softly you still care for me ...

Death March
Out in the thickets
Time stands alone
Limping around
Minute by minute
Not hearing a sound
But a melodic siren within
Off pitch and piercing
Hold back the pain
No longer
March on it screams
March on
Let the beast devour my flesh
And allow me to
March on
Time stands alone
Limping around
Minute by minute
Not hearing a sound
But a melodic siren within
Off pitch and piercing
Hold back the pain
No longer
March on it screams
March on
Let the beast devour my flesh
And allow me to
March on

Yesterday's Forgot
If tomorrows never mattered
And yesterdays forgot
Living in the present would
Count much more than not
Our days could have more meaning,
Each word chosen more precise
Visions may be clearer,
Not clouded with advice
Every time that I'd be with you
I'd make each moment last
Your kisses might be sweeter,
your eyes my twinkling past
Our hearts could dance together
No missing anymore
Swaying under a silent moon
from your ocean to my shore
And yesterdays forgot
Living in the present would
Count much more than not
Our days could have more meaning,
Each word chosen more precise
Visions may be clearer,
Not clouded with advice
Every time that I'd be with you
I'd make each moment last
Your kisses might be sweeter,
your eyes my twinkling past
Our hearts could dance together
No missing anymore
Swaying under a silent moon
from your ocean to my shore

Dawn's Gift
Dans l'aube de ma journée, je vous vois
floating along-side my quiet slumber
resurrecting visions that reside
in the stillness of my breath
as I await the rising sun
Peaceful rays of love lie down
within a lemongrass fragrant breeze
tap gentle on a probing heart
and soothe dawn's gift of golden light
floating along-side my quiet slumber
resurrecting visions that reside
in the stillness of my breath
as I await the rising sun
Peaceful rays of love lie down
within a lemongrass fragrant breeze
tap gentle on a probing heart
and soothe dawn's gift of golden light

Passion Burns Eternal
My passion burns eternal
holding strong to every branch
shaking as I helplessly watch
you leaving out my way
Your heat it was demanding
exciting to my fading flame
ignighting feelings where gentle
winds would dare blow
Your sparks were undivided
breathing in through my every thought
your fire has long been smoldered
the wild smoke has gone astray
But I know . . .
Love will rise again from the ashes
a naked soul will soon fly free
tomorrow will bring us freedom
and happiness will be
holding strong to every branch
shaking as I helplessly watch
you leaving out my way
Your heat it was demanding
exciting to my fading flame
ignighting feelings where gentle
winds would dare blow
Your sparks were undivided
breathing in through my every thought
your fire has long been smoldered
the wild smoke has gone astray
But I know . . .
Love will rise again from the ashes
a naked soul will soon fly free
tomorrow will bring us freedom
and happiness will be

Bloom For Me
Through wafts of lavender letting go
meander past pain felt holes
reminders grip to a wilted rose
where thorns once held a home
Bloom for me and on painted petals grow
bloom for me and into my recesses forever flow
etch sunshine across days of diluted doubt
bring hope and meaning to an enamored soul
Circle around a single soiled grain of me
floating on a fleeting breeze of air
seen only in the lathing light of you
and brush gently upon a hand of care
Bloom for me and in turn
I'll bloom for you
meander past pain felt holes
reminders grip to a wilted rose
where thorns once held a home
Bloom for me and on painted petals grow
bloom for me and into my recesses forever flow
etch sunshine across days of diluted doubt
bring hope and meaning to an enamored soul
Circle around a single soiled grain of me
floating on a fleeting breeze of air
seen only in the lathing light of you
and brush gently upon a hand of care
Bloom for me and in turn
I'll bloom for you

Where Life Basks
Tender wraps the morning
as my sunshine lays her claim
bent green grass and daisies
all her glory calls my name
Simple walks, her beauty talks
I wander bout her home
hanging boughs they do arouse
my feelings rarely shown
Beat my heart a thousand beats
let my fingers brush your cheek
hold me in your loving arms
as I climb your mountain peaks
Ne'er light nor dark shall ever mask
Grandeur where life truly basks
as my sunshine lays her claim
bent green grass and daisies
all her glory calls my name
Simple walks, her beauty talks
I wander bout her home
hanging boughs they do arouse
my feelings rarely shown
Beat my heart a thousand beats
let my fingers brush your cheek
hold me in your loving arms
as I climb your mountain peaks
Ne'er light nor dark shall ever mask
Grandeur where life truly basks

Far Away Rain
Subtle thoughts of yesterday rumble
in every dancing bolt of energy
across a sacrificial sky
Tepid droplets of moisture awaken
senses once lost and lonely
seeking to breathe another day
Thunder rings out loudly
(or is that your heart?)
calling out my name
Water falling down gentle
eyes and hands wide open
catching every part of you
in every dancing bolt of energy
across a sacrificial sky
Tepid droplets of moisture awaken
senses once lost and lonely
seeking to breathe another day
Thunder rings out loudly
(or is that your heart?)
calling out my name
Water falling down gentle
eyes and hands wide open
catching every part of you
