Women Love Me
It's not because I'm so good looking
or because I'm smart
It's because I listen
Truth is
I'm not that smart
More instinctual like a moderately intelligent dog
If you have a problem
I'll try to help
But hopefully I won't preach or suggest too much
Other than that
They love me when I smile
I have nice dimples
or because I'm smart
It's because I listen
Truth is
I'm not that smart
More instinctual like a moderately intelligent dog
If you have a problem
I'll try to help
But hopefully I won't preach or suggest too much
Other than that
They love me when I smile
I have nice dimples

Yodeling Baby
I've been known to drink some whiskey
Then out of the blue I start to yodel
I don't have the greatest voice
But that's not the point
The point is yodeling frees the soul
Has a classic organic grassroots feel
To those who don't enjoy my artful sound
To quote an old drug phrase I say "take a red"
Then out of the blue I start to yodel
I don't have the greatest voice
But that's not the point
The point is yodeling frees the soul
Has a classic organic grassroots feel
To those who don't enjoy my artful sound
To quote an old drug phrase I say "take a red"

Chasing Beauty
Ultimately
Beauty will destroy me
I've always chased it
Won most of the time
When I lost however
It cut me
Badly
Hard wired for the chase
On a trail of personal destruction
Knowing the wounds are a cancer
Hoping not to bleed out
Unless my mouth covers yours
In the ultimate passion play
Last call for salvation, she's waiting
Beauty will destroy me
I've always chased it
Won most of the time
When I lost however
It cut me
Badly
Hard wired for the chase
On a trail of personal destruction
Knowing the wounds are a cancer
Hoping not to bleed out
Unless my mouth covers yours
In the ultimate passion play
Last call for salvation, she's waiting

Briefly Lovers
Many years ago
A liaison of soul clinching
Connecting with the already connected
Wrong and right but ultimately wrong
Fast forward
Light years
Oddly we became friends again
Not sustainable though, just because
Lovers have a way of seeing
Joined at the hip, star gazing
The indelible memories linger
Of a hot flame that once was ...

Wait for You
I can wait
It's not my forte
For you though
I find a way
It's not my forte
For you though
I find a way

Old Fashioned Romance
What I wouldn't give
For a scented letter
Your perfume filling the room
Old fashioned romance
Lust and love
Burning in my brain
Fire in my loins
Desire is our landscape
Love is the calling
For a scented letter
Your perfume filling the room
Old fashioned romance
Lust and love
Burning in my brain
Fire in my loins
Desire is our landscape
Love is the calling

The Best Moments ....
Are quiet and beautiful
Requiring no sound
Passion of self and my companion
On the morning dog walk
She's almost 14
Brown with varying shades of gray
A woman with grace but pees like a male
She never was easy and smart as the day is long
We are probably in the twilight years
An ending I hate to think about
Appetite still strong, coat bright and shiny
Every walk a blessing, grateful to bring her home
Requiring no sound
Passion of self and my companion
On the morning dog walk
She's almost 14
Brown with varying shades of gray
A woman with grace but pees like a male
She never was easy and smart as the day is long
We are probably in the twilight years

Appetite still strong, coat bright and shiny
Every walk a blessing, grateful to bring her home

He Speaks in Tongues
Different wine pairings
With different dishes
Take what you need
Or whatever you can get
Be discriminating
But not foolish
He speaks in tongues
Too much information
Or not enough
Kinetic, quirky and then some
The menu looks good tonight
With different dishes
Take what you need
Or whatever you can get
Be discriminating
But not foolish
He speaks in tongues
Too much information
Or not enough
Kinetic, quirky and then some
The menu looks good tonight

Safe
It feels safe here
A gentle escape from fame
My disguise working well
Even the guy at the Deli on the corner
Didn't pay me no mind
I asked for hazelnut instead of regular
It smells great but taste is often lacking
The story of my life wraps around coffee
I tried so hard to achieve greatness
Now hiding from the very thing I thought I wanted most
Everyone wants a piece of your privacy
Selling my soul for headlines was a mistake
I couldn't have known then, to busy with my arrogance
Shit, he put sugar in my coffee
Guess he saw I...

I come here sometimes
to escape the noise of my other life
a place to gather my thoughts
gain some perspective from afar
sleep, write, go unnoticed
a thrill a moment in the crystal silence
a place to gather my thoughts
gain some perspective from afar
sleep, write, go unnoticed
a thrill a moment in the crystal silence
