CYCLE IV: AIR
With scent of Samhain’s burning slow release
Combined with perfumed thrill of boil and dry.
In Winter cold as driven snow's increase
By frigid winds, the stews' heat drifts belie.
How quickly brings the warming vernal steam;
In fragrances of new awakened sex.
Then quick gives shrift in mid-year’s blazing teem;
With thunderheading’s showers, wet express.
The Temptress Queen, the Clown, the Virgin Witch,
Her dance and grace, Her kiss and backhand slap.
Once vibrant still and punched caress unhitched,

The Scents of Battle
CYCLE IV: AIR
Air, whisper soft as rustled satin’s dawn,
And hard as jungle ‘vore’s impassioned roar,
In wafting hints of skirmish’ agents drawn,
Compiled in clash and screams, advance implore.
For certain comes with risen, dawning light,
The wind of battles’ fighting and yet fought,
The heated scents, exerts from contests’ might,
In sweat and froth, the force’ engagements brought.
Long may the night have known by candles’ smoke,
Components’ place and point in blown demark.

The Space Between
CYCLE IV: AIR
One founded, Earthly Fire and Waters’ reign,
Exist apart, though each their essence spill.
The Fire gave Earth a taste for deluge swain,
Her open space between marked in their fill.
Once ground in heated state, the tempest came,
In rising high, released unbridled storm.
So, opened wide a place that is her claim,
The place, unseen, she granted her conform.
Took all her full release for life’s begin,
And in her spend, there’s nothing due compare,
For those who do consume remain within,
And find there...

CYCLE III: Water
Through rain unceasing purchased seas and sky,
Baptizes, begs both shake and self anew.
Within its night invest a lullaby
Or melancholic storms’ bought unsought dew.
As deluge washes clean our outer stain,
A streaming night can wash the heart as well.
A flowing purse, the match to gale’s refrain,
With wail’s replace of thunder’s banking tell.
And though the dark may tender swallowed squalls,
The dawn will shop new light as cash’ed hope.
Brings on, the tears’ spent grant, a new enthrall,
As night...

CYCLE III: WATER
As Bearded Iris glists in wakened rain,
At morning’s rise, brings full her petals’ fire,
Her sheltered coves loose mounting storms’ restrain,
In ruddied glow, dawn thunderhead's require.
For age has mouth delivered measured flow,
The rivers' given draft that She'd take in.
But morning now gives turbulenting throes,
Churns waters that a new accept begin.
In broken rhythms, wetted slaps increase,
As calm gives way to surely coming surge.

CYCLE III: WATER
My how the harvest orb have risen full,
It fills Her nightly vision with its curve.
Her seas are welling at its whelming pull,
My how it wavely brings Her swelling verve.
The pulsing at Her core its movement drives,
My how She gives Her risen tides to it,
And spells its rhythms in Her maidens’ lives,
Whose zodiacly worship pursues it.
But as with flow, when flow shouts out its peak,
The ebb must find its slow and sure retract.
And from its full, the orb reductions seek.
For after tides are spent,...

CYCLE III: WATER
Since we were we, we dipped Her gentle swell,
Immersed in stream and ocean, lake and bath.
We bent our lips, Her spread to fill our quell.
Our naked selves baptized in wetted laugh.
The waters gave us home for our half-Mer’,
A flowing grace that took our fore-souls in.
We worshiped Mother’s gifts in drinking Her,
And gave ourselves that She might wash our sin.
It’s in Her deeps leviathan gave place,
The haunting monsters pulled from Ahab’s dreams.
That seeming punished those that laid Her waste

CYCLE III: WATER
Percolation
Millennia with every form subscribed,
In single orb to moving mountains gauge.
From sea to bog to steam-filled jungles slide,
‘Til rock’s impact inox with galax phage.
Then solid waters dimmed the lifely sun,
And others’ pass made way for others’ reign,
With wooly fur both grown and taken from.
With ice’s withdrawal, came sapiens’ campaign,
And cities built on mighty rivers’ run.
And waters’ weaponry became a pall
From Persian times to seas off Jutland’s beach,
In waters owned, a place...

CYCLE II: WATER
As slowly cooling suns’ refracted light,
Above the steaming haze of primal ice,
Did flavor gas with particles incite
To arcing lines’ electrical entice.
In torrents flew for eons without stop,
To burning rock that split the wet in two.
That other gas would come from shattered drop.
In age on age, the vapors’ congress grew.
On seas beget in rage beneath the storm,
That scored and mixed the elemental dust,
In warming stew and cooling air took form,
A single cell of proteins’ iron rust.

CYCLE III: WATER
Though earth does give us rise and so return,
And spark of fire does lively pow’r bring forth.
Through living water, life ex-celled its kern.
And creatures filled the world in lively course.
From fluid filled to fluid held, we burst.
‘Til one and one conform to fix our one.
In mother’s warming sea do we swim first,
Then through the flooding gate are we begun.
Though on the rugged seas have hands been lost,
And confluence has swallowed sailors whole,
A thirst not quenched can take a man, its cost,
Or...

CYCLE II: FIRE
The universal birth infernal bought,
When rock itself, in molten time, was new.
And atmosphere in flaming ice was brought,
As rain in heat that shattered drops in two.
So, all became from fire power’s reign,
As Might beget from smelt and with forged blade,
In burning oil, in ball and shell retained,
And now in threat of gas seared lungs’ persuade.
But truest flame burns small in every mind,
Electrons passing back and forth between,
For thoughts both church and Auschwitz gates they find,
Thus, every...

CYCLE II: FIRE
Bend center point to bell line’s sallied curve,
Let sun-fire burn eternal death unseen.
With secrets of the smallest world disserve,
Prometheus’s touch rend all unclean.
As Icarus with Atlas’ weight upheld,
The world itself turned Sol upon its own
With Cherry Blossom’s once “long cape” immeld.
Let Fat Man strike, “broad island” ash and stone.
On walls are shadows sole reminders burned,
For all who still on winds in vapors blow.
And domes in molten metal’s twisted turn,
Black Arts were born releasing...
