It’s Mine
Beating softly
It’s mine for the taking
Even if only partly
Know I’m not mistaken
Once in my grasp
There’s no letting go
Tightly enwrapped
Constricting the flow
This issue born
Of tissue torn
No need to mourn
If you conform
Eclipse your desire
Override your will
Fatigued and tired
Until you’re lying still
Hesitant resistance
Persistent insistence
Bend under the pressure
Succumb to my pleasure
Identity erased
I won’t even leave a trace

Reflection
I gave you all the love I had
And you threw me away
I thought that we could be together
Until our dying days
Thought we could last
The perfect match
Yet from my grasp
You have been snatched
What did I expect
When the reason we had met
Was because I made a bet
And so soon karma paid its debt
Yet what hurt me the most
Was not your decision to leave
It’s that you faded like a ghost
Until I no longer believed
I gave up on that dream
While there was still possibility
When I could still...

A Dark Place
What goes on in my head?
Step inside, look around
I might be calm when I'm dead
Until then I'm hell bound
Wear my shell like a gargoyle
But within I'm hard boiled
Beneath this mask of stone
Bequeathed to face this task alone
Dreams of clattering bones
Screams in glass shattering tones
This smile hides aces veiled
Eyes wide, faces pale
Helpless shapes
Mouths agape
Gasping for breath
Practically asking for death

Conflicted
I looked behind me in fright
To rest my eyes on the sight
Of every hour past,
Growing nearer to my last
Peering through the glass,
I teared up and stood aghast
Fearing time moves too fast,
Haunting memories amassed
Regret inside my head vast

That was not the place or the hour
To wear a sad face and cower
I need to feel empowered,
Not be a delicate flower
Must stand tall as a tower

Perilous Impetus
I'm weighing the pros and cons
Of attempting to cross the frozen pond
A laughing shadow haunts
I know I have to go beyond
Will the ice crack beneath my feet?
Will I sink under in defeat?
Will I make it by the skin of my teeth?
Will I tread hastily and with ease?
I'm still waiting to see
What my real fate will be
Face the fears
That hold me back
Replace the years
Of old that lacked
I won't yield
A bold attack
I'll cross the field
Of cold intact
Of attempting to cross the frozen pond

I have tried so hard to figure this out
How are you able to live with yourself?
Your cruel betrayal, it simply astounds

Full of Emptiness
I'm missing a part of me
Though it may be hard to see
The internal disharmony
When I'm laughing heartily
Concealed hatred carnally
Festering, grows markedly
Gestated remarkably
It clogs arteries artfully
Monster bursts from the womb
The emissary of doom
Free from its temporary tomb
My obituary looms
What made me the way I am?
It's as if I'm an alien
Parading the wayward damned
Around a nightmare stadium
A melancholic...

Dark Mind Resigned
I don't know, what the hell I'm waiting for
What I know is every day I wake's a chore
I don't think I've got a pretty fate in store
This abyss inside of me is craving more
Deadly storm, churning with hurricane force
I'm okay with letting nature take its course
I don't think anything could make it worse
If you try to break me I will break you first
All that I've wanted so badly
To climb from the depths of this valley
Better get moving, there's no time to dally
Racking up bodies and I'm taking tally

I walk the cemetery alone
Watched the sun set hours ago
Fog drifts in, blanket for the bones
Cozy and warm, they wait down below
Blows like a storm, my hatred it grows
I'm changing in form, fading like a ghost
The demon taking over
I peer over both shoulders
Feel a tingle up my spine
Spirits mingling behind
Corpses brood beneath the moon
As I intrude among the tombs
Across which tortured souls are strewn
In a morbid mood of gloom, misfortune blooms

Happy New Year
Here's to a new year, bringing new cheers!
As the dust from 2018 clears
We stand amongst the rubble of fake dreams and fears
I sit and wonder who is gonna die and why
Will tonight be the last time I close my eyes?
How many celebrities will commit suicide?
How many civilians caught in the crossfire?
How many pedestrians struck by a drunk driver
In a residential area going a hundred and five?
I don't know what it'll take to come out alive
So hold on tight, it's about...
